I purchased a watch last march, and its always ran a little slow, just outside of their spec range. Figured it would break in, but it never has. Reached out to the dealer and they were super helpful and got me set up to have it adjusted under warranty. Fill out the paperwork and send it in. After the service center receives it they inform me I'm looking at a 12 month processing timeframe... This cant be the norm, is it? What would you guys do if it was your daily? Wait it out? Get it back and have it serviced by a non-authorized company? Kind of feel stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one and not happy about it. |

Oh man. I'd hope your dealer had a bit of sway to push that along quicker. Maybe ask them what they'd do. What brand of watch? My Tudor was sent in under warranty (same issue as yours, running slow), came back in 3 weeks, with a new Tudor strap, as well. |

Most of the time you get faster service on a brand name watch if you personally send it in to the factory service center. When the dealer sends it in return is slower. Look online or in the owner's manual for an address for a USA factory service center, then insure well and mail it in First Class. |

Wrote their Customer Service at 6pm asking if their US service is really booked up 12 months out and if there were any other options for me, and by 6am I had an email from their US Authorized dealer saying there must have been some mixup and that I should only be looking at 8 weeks. |

Were you dealing with RGM? AFAIK, RGM is the only factory-approved Sinn service provider in the US. I needed a complete service on my Sinn 142 Ti GSG9 edition. I have an excellent, local watchmaker who services on my Rolex watches but he wouldn't touch the Sinn. I had to send it to RGM and it took 8 months to get it back ![]() Obviously your situation is a bit different, it being a relatively new watch and only needing regulation. But watch out when it's time for a complete service! Sinn is such a cool brand. I really like the Lemania 5100 movement and the way they used it in the 142, it is a very unique design, especially the internal rotating bezel. Obligatory watch photo follows. Attached File |

Nice. I'm thinking a 903 St II (Navitimer) is going to be my next watch. Good to know Sinn holds their servicers accountable. Attached File The story behind this watch is kind of cool. And the Sinn version is more true to the original while being improved than the actual Breitling Navitimers. |
