Depends. But 60k silicone diff fluid would work nicely in your situation. You may want to have a lighter weight in the front. Maybe 50k. Or just run both 60k. Unless your racing, probably won't notice a big difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bRcXIZa5Mo Here is the fluid https://www.amazon.com/Associated-5458-Silicone-Fluid-60000cst/dp/B004J1N4KO View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Personally, I would ditch the traxxas batteries and get real ones. Cut the traxxas plug off the car and solder on an XT30 or XT60 plug on the truck. Sell the traxxas charger and grab a normal one.
I have an ISDT charger and love it. Use it to charge my car batteries as well. |

What did you decide on?
Actually, I have way too many projects going on. I went from building tons of nostalgic Tamiya models and beefing them up to handle brushless and Lipo, to taking race spec type chassis and building them into heavy duty bashers. My current addiction is desert vehicle type builds. Here’s another that’s based on the same design as the one above. A Factory Team RC8.2e I bought dirt cheap from a local racer. Going to make it into a Baja bug. The car in the background is a Tamiya Monster Beetle. Attached File My intention is to have it turn out looking like this. Attached File |

Got my parts truck today. I think we have more fun bashing these low powered brush motor stuff than the brushless one. I don't cringe every time something happens.
We actually deliberately try to crash in to each other now. I'm not worried about breaking it. Now that I have it I wonder if I should just keep playing with this one in lieu of using it for repairs on the brushless powered variant. |

Hobbyking has a sale right now, 15% off with MDAY19 code through the weekend if you spend $70+
Best bang for the buck 4s battery right here, you’d just need to also add an EC5 to XT90 adapter or just buy a set of EC5 and remove the XT90 that’s on the battery and replace it. It’s not a hard pack, but the Kraton is pretty well protected. The battery dimensions are 145mmx50mmx37mm for this one. Free shipping from US warehouse if you spend $50 or more. I’m a platinum member, so your price might be a few bucks more than mine. I use this pack in my 1/8 scale SC8, DB8 and RC8. Attached File |

Broke mine on day 2
I was gifted an old TMAXX that only needed a new engine. Bought a 3.3 and a few replacement parts for some worn pieces. Got her started yesterday and broke it in. Went passenger tire first into a rock going 30 or so today. Busted A arm and control arm. Bent a shock and lost one completely. Still havent even painted my new body. Good times |

you'll want speed. get the brushless.
3s blx is a pretty good deal. You'll need a battery with EC5 connector (or adapter to the car's EC5), charger, and 4AA for the remote. I love mine.
