Well, that's one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Guess they couldn't have him near the top. Tried to kill his momentum any way possible. I am glad to see him sticking up for himself. He can sleep well knowing he tried to talk some sense into those idiots. Didn't let them back door him without a fight. |
| Yeah. I think a big issue is certain people speaking for the institutions, Faldo, Chamblee, et al, crap all over the guy leading up to the tournament, and then this happens...an hour and a half after the shot...it's just a terrible look. |
Official Arfcom Nickname: Mothball
"What's biting Glatigny?"
"I think he's beginning to realize that we've got to play with fifty-two cards and he doesn't like it at all . . . Those twenty extra cards aren't at all to his liking."

The ball has been identified by this point and you are now only allowed to step in to take a reasonable stance. You are not allowed to gorilla stomp the knee high grass behind your ball that would affect your backswing. It’s no different than snapping a branch off a tree that’s in your way. The R&A gave him a pass by calling it unintentional. He got caught cheating. Fuck him. ![]() A look at the shot from Bryson DeChambeau that is currently under review for a 2-stroke penalty ?? |

Watch the video... his swing plane on the chop out was steep... he was not taking a full swing that would have caught grass in the first place. It was a punch out. He could have done it one handed... grass is not an obstruction to him anyways. He is not a manlet like Rory. But haters going to hate. |

The club goes straight back parallel to the ground. The club passed right through the last big clump of grass he stepped on. Attached File Attached File You really think the R&A doesn’t know the rules or just decided to get together and fuck Bryson over? |

Trevino was famous for lining up a shot by placing a wood behind it matting the grass and then hitting an iron. But times are different now |
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

We are not going to agree on the impact of the grass on his swing, the grass behind him has no impact on him chopping it out. It was not a branch or a fucking boulder like tiger rolled out of the way. But yes, they have cameras on him for every shot so he obviously knew he could cheat Bryson said he wasn't intentionally improving his lie so that is that. All the other pros agree it is BS. Except Rory. Imagine that. RNA knows the rules. It's how they randomly pick who to attack when their carefully scripted narrative is disrupted. |

They saw no infraction, Bryson said it was not his intent. Funny how all the other "incidents" that resulted in no penalty have surfaced the past few days. Selective enforcement just shows the true colors of those old dusty RNA officials. |

More BS.... Bryson... over the green into thick stuff...lost ball and penalties, rehit from way back. Scottie.... yeets it off the fucking planet, over grandstands into thick stuff... ball lost... Not so fast! RNA to the rescue with a free drop in prime location near green. So blatantly obvious at this point it is not even funny. |

This is the issue I have with golf tournaments making a ruling after the fact. How many players were in the Open this year? 168 ? They don't have 168 cameras on course watching every single shot from every single player. If there was a rules official with his group, then I think they should penalize the rule official for not making a ruling at the time it occured and having someone in a instant replay booth deciding 2 hours later that it was a penalty. That being said, if you look at this: https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/rules-hub/rules-modernization/major-changes/touching-or-moving-loose-impediments-or-ground.html I do think he probably violated rule 8.1A, but again, if the people that were there did not call it, then I think it should not have been done after the fact. Also, I think if this was Fleetwood or McIlroy there is no way in hell it gets called 2 hours later. |

We’re not likely to agree on many rules issues since you don’t seem to understand the rules of basic TIO relief. |

Cameras were used to convict Bryson after the fact. The same cameras were not used to locate the vicinity of Brysons lost ball. The same cameras were used to declare Scottie was in the temporary obstruction, they literally came in and cut Scottie off so he would not search and get a penalty. If his ball had ricochet OB where would we be? The rules are shit, not applied equally and the camera bull shit is old |

Lol I understand them 100% His ball could have been found OB Instead they declared it "most likely" in the TIO.... via camera footage. Just like Bryson gets a penalty.... via camera footage. I am glad you can consider all view points... |

Bryson said he wasn't intentionally improving his lie so that is that.
