anyone else have mitral valve prolapse?
strong or multiple coffees brings mine on and flexing or concentrated use of my hands. I was able to repeat the symptoms in front of my PC by gripping a canteen and drinking from it....as well as the heart dr who got it on echo/ video. I could see my valve flapper curling and not sealing properly...kinda like a rubber impeller that has laid down. when it happens it sounds like an old bellows or manual bilge pump (like the movie Dead Calm). I can feel a slight vibration and hear: whommp whommmp whommmp of my heart rate. I'm certain people can hear it outside my chest cavity but nope. happens when shooting too. it's real. hhhnnnnnnnnnnnnGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ackphhhhtttt |

Ran track and cross country at a Big Ten university without ever having a problem. Once in a great while I will feel a weird fluttering in my heart. Never have been able to pin down anything that causes it. I don't think it should be a physical disqualifier, but I'm not a doctor. |
