I have a 7 month old 75lb puppy that is drinking a gallon a day if I give him unlimited water. Subsequently he has to pee all the time and sometimes causes accidents in the house. I used to have 2 large dogs that would clear maybe 3 gallons in a week combined. If I ration his water, giving him 1 or 2 cups when he asks or putting it in after he empties it, then he does fine.

Is there a water bowl I can get that supplies maybe a cup of water every 5 minutes? I don't want to cut him off if he needs water - just slow him down so he's not just drinking to drink.

Drinking that much water. Maybe you should get him checked for diabetes before you do anything else.

This, but my Britt pup drank water when he was bored.  He grew out of that at about 18 months.
