last of our teams should be in tonight.

is there a breakdown of points scoring?  how teams play into it or is it individual for the most part?

You'll find info kinda scarce until the event starts. Not because it's any kind of secret squirrel stuff, but because a large part of it is being forced to think on your feet.

RV is probably not a great idea.

You might make it to the site if it's dry, but if it's wet, that ain't happening.

You'll be extra special screwed if you make it back there and then it rains.

Is it cheating to use my Garmin for landnav?

I haven't had a chance to practice landnav in a meaningful way. I'm ready to do this otherwise.

No electronics, to include rangefinders.

You can carry a GPS for emergencies/safety, but using it to find points is a no go.

I guess if his RV has 4WD and chains he might be okay. Or are you volunteering for pulling duty, again?

I wish I could. However, I do not have enough PTO to take the additional days off.
I'm off on the Wednesday  that week, and I have to be back home the following Wednesday.

Of course, any chance to make the Cummins roar.

Then bring on the RV. Recovery on site, reasonable rates.

Is there an "official" list published?

I haven't seen anything else

Aside from the 12 mile ruck, is there anything else that is a minimum level skill to have?

Land nav is a key event. Even if you can't get some actual practice in, I'd suggest being very familiar with basic concepts and practices at the very least.

Many, self included, return from land nav very frustrated their first time.

Location is provided along with the gear list a week or so before.

I'll let Ben share it with you exactly but it's about an hour away from Melstone. Highly recommend taking highway 12 to Melstone and heading sotuh since Google maps will send you through all kinds of random properties and when it's 9 pm and you're in the middle of nowhere driving past a house where no one is supposed to be can be a butt clenching experience.

That helps immensely. Knowing the general area can allow me to do some planning and can at least let me get a leave plan in to get approved or disapproved.

I see you also got the "directions" texted to you by Ben for the first Warfighter. I almost turned around before I was raped, killed, eaten, and raped some more by the mountain people.

Event t-shirt sales are live here.

Ten day "fundraiser". I put that in quotes because we're not making much off sales, this is just the easiest way to sell and distribute the shirts. Point is, ten days, it's short. No second printing so get your order in or you're SOL.

The lettering rendered kinda weird when uploaded to custom ink, but it will be cleaned up for proofs and printing. Green, black outline, I think you get the idea.

Absolutely, please do. Everyone should buy one.

As priced, we have to sell at least 19 for them for them to even print. That's not a huge number, but every order helps.

I hate doing this after people have already purchased, but at Custom Ink's urging, I am changing the color of the shirts. Though it's not the color I originally selected, I agree with them that it is an improvement.
