I knew the name but had to go look up what he did.  Probably would only remember him from maybe Dynasty or I love Lucy show rerun.  It was big news at the time around his death but I never paid attention to it.  I guess at that point in my life stars were not special to me, they put their pants on the same way I do...

I was more concerned for my Mom that was treating an ER patient.  After she gave him a shot he turned and then stuck her in the hand with the needle.  Hours later they found out he had AIDS, this was also in 1985 so I was a true scare.  She got tested every 3 months for 3 years, then every 6 months for 2 years then continued to get an annual test for the next 15 years on the hospitals dime.

Seldom seen/little known: original Rifles manufactured near the end of WWI were marked 'Browning Machine Rifle' (BMR), the 'BAR' is a Post-War weapon

Further, the original magazine chest was never marked "Automatic Rifle", it carried three bays of 5 magazines separated by 2 wood dividers, the original horsehair lid pad rarely survived 85 years. These are 1st pattern metal chests, identical to the larger .30 belt fed ammo chest with piano hinge, identical in every way except shape to the 100 round M17 .50 ammo can replacing the briefly made wood 100 rounder.

Get after it zach. I woke up today and felt like total dog shit. Got my ass on that treadmill and did my 2 miles and pushed around weights like they were my bitch.

I feel that. Post-surgery, I had a couple years before I could even start trying to be active again, and the past several months have been a lot of very, very slow progress. Keep at it, though.

Speaking of The Rockford Files, when I first moved to LA, a good buddy was two doors down from James Luisi who played Lt. Doug Chapman.  I was kind of new in town, and he was one of the first people I ran into that I immediately recognized.   I was kinda shocked that he lived in the same (sorta low rent) building as my friend.  That was when I first realized that not everyone on TV is living large.  The further down the cast list you are, the le$$.

Just looking at his IMDB, he continued to work occasionally after Rockford, and passed in 2002 at 73.
