My question is "what makes it Ok to do that"?
Is it pure ignorance that he might be killing someone? You have to believe the answer is no, he was being told as much. I have to believe that the behavior of his leadership made that acceptable and Ok. If it wasn't acceptable, the other cops standing around would have stopped him. He believed it was ok because he was either told it was ok or he'd seen it happen before without repercussion. People do what is in their own best interests. He didn't see this as having a negative consequence for him or he wouldn't have done it. |

Not trying to second guess trained decisions here, and perhaps some cops can chime in...but from the current live video it looks like the police don't have a very good initial setup for tonight's festivities. They are backed into a tunnel, and aside from some plywood, most of the station exterior and the one neighboring business don't look secured.
