I posted this over at a thread where a thirteener was complaining about hazing and getting picked on while the 2020 accounts are being protected thought you might enjoy it: Son, we live in a world with trolls, and arfcoms walls have to be guarded by men with guns. We have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for the protection the deucers get from the arfcom overlords, and you curse being a thirteen. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what we know, that hazing, while sometimes tragic, keeps the trolls away; and that our existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps the this site safe. You don't want to face the truth because deep down in places you talk about on facebook, you want us on that wall, you need us on that wall. We use words like beans, no beans, and blading at 45. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something, you use them as a punch line. We have neither the time or the inclination, to explain these concepts to a weenie, who posts and laughs under the blanket of the very protection that we provide, and then questions the manner in which we provide it.
