I read earlier today that the new secdef won't take office till March of next year. Due to some rule that he has to be out of the military for 7 years before becoming a politician. Don't know how true that is, because it sounds stupid, but that's what I read anyways.

Except for ancient troglodytes like myself, few in the DoD remember the cold war posture we had, how it operated and what it takes to do that again. * until the deadliest virus in human history sidelined most training events by 80% or more. |
