This....if you admit it and open yourself to the questions you will pass depending on what happened and if you have evidence to back up your story. The length of time since it occurred is also very relevant. When I was the security manager I got some very unique questions. I usually stopped them when I saw what direction this was going and told them to be honest and see what happens. If they find you lied you will be denied for life, pick your fate. Many got approved....one got arrested...  .
