Obviously recoil isn't going to be an issue, so you don't need to go top of the line on the build quality. Realistically -- unless you're going for records -- even with that rig you'll probably be under 400yards 87% of the time. So what kind of shooting are you planning on doing. Magnification for little groups is cool and all - but not needed for poppin' critters or steel. The thing you SHOULD look for is minimum parallax distance. You want to get something that will allow you to get down to 25yards for 22. 15yards is even better. A 3-12x maybe? something like that? I have a mid-line Vortex PST-genII 5-25x on my precision 22 bolt gun. The reticle matches my 308 and 6.5 reticles from the gen2 Razor line, so it's easy for me to transition without using muh brain too much. |
