I worked at the same place for over a decade, and had gotten into the mindset that I would retire from there. Seemed to even be an understanding in the shop that I would take over one particular old guy's work when he retired (had already been doing some of his work when he was out sick or on vacation). But shit happens. Now I've been at my current job for over a decade and while I have no plans to leave, I am aware that things can get to the point that there is no longer any reason in me making the drive to get there. |
