Getting old sure beats the alternative.

I had a cervical disc herniation and a slight bulge last year. Just an FYI they are treated symptomatically so the MRI isn't really medically necessary. Just get to PT and they will help you figure out traction and such. The worst part is figuring out what combination of pillows and positions are sleepable, especially for the first few weeks.

In over 80% of cases, medical intervention is not necessary. Just listen the the Physical Therapist and put in the work and you'll most likely be fine. Hell, I fixed mine watching youtube videos and continued doing combat sports while I recovered. Just don't go running towards narcotics and/or surgery until you've exhausted other options!

At my last house, I set up a system of pulleys so that the harness for an 'over the door' neck traction rig was hanging over the chair at my computer desk. I could sit down, reach up and pull the harness down (lifting the weights off the floor a few feet away from the desk), then surf arfcom, check e-mail, and watch videos, while letting the traction rig make the pain go away for a while.

I'm in need of a major spinal fusion but mine is so severe my doc doesn'r want me to have to go through it if possible. Just got a spinal cord stimulator implant a couple of months ago. Not the real answer but cut the pain a bit.

The employee was already shoving him toward the door, before he grabbed the guitar. The grab for the guitar seemed to be a grab for a weapon of opportunity, since he started swinging it shortly after grabbing it.

While in the choke hold, he appeared to agree that he was leaving the store, then seemed to refuse to get up. After being dragged out the door, he didn't get up, but did raise his left hand toward his face, then put it back down by his side and continued to lay face down.

My guess is mental illness -> acting up in the store (possibly trying to shoplift or damaging stuff) -> ignored store employee telling him to leave -> forcefully escorted to the door -> decided to fight.
