Appearing Friday on CNN’s The Lead, Black Lives Matter Global Network co-founder Patrisse Cullors said President Donald Trump should resign from office immediately and said, “our goal is to get Trump out.”
PATRISSE CULLORS: Trump not only needs to not be in office in November but he should resign now. Trump needs to be out of office. He is not fit for office. And so what we are going to push for is a move to get Trump out. While we’re also going to continue to push and pressure vice president Joe Biden around his policies and relationship to policing and criminalization. That’s going to be important. But our goal is to get Trump out. Ummm, I thought the goal was saving black lives... Biden was in office for over 30 years, and he created all the laws that black people don’t like. He pushed through laws that sent more blacks to prison and for longer sentences. Trump, on the other hand, led America to achieve the LOWEST black unemployment in HISTORY. And to the HIGHEST employment numbers in history. That is good for Black people and good for America, in case there was any question. But this dumb racist b—-h wants Democrats in charge? As her primary goal? Not to make people believe “black lives matter”? If you choose Biden, and want to get rid of Trump, then, to quote a Biden phrase while improving it, “you ain’t bright”. I was passing through rural Alabama today, close to the Georgia border, on my way home from vacation with my family of 4 (wife and two teenage kids). We were in our 2019 F250 pimp-wagon, pulling a righteous 2019 21' center console after having spent the last week on our annual vacation to the Florida panhandle for red snapper season.
It was an unscheduled stop as my young daughter "HAD TO PEE RIGHT NOW", the exit had a single gas station and I pulled up to the pump to top off since I was here anyway and I wouldn't have to stop inside the I-285/ATL perimeter if I topped off. There were two early 30's looking black guys gassing up a beater work truck with a trailer full of landscaping/lawn mowing gear, they were dirty and hot and had two teenaged boys with them. When I pulled up and opened the door the guy pumping his gas says "I really like that truck", we had a good conversation while my family went inside and we both gassed up, talked about fishing, ya'll have a good weekend and a happy fathers day, etc. It's the kind of conversation I grew up with in mixed race company or otherwise (I only mention race here as its important to the point), a stark contrast to the "race war" the media and politicians are trying to portray. We were just two families sharing a pleasant moment in time. My only regret is I didn't give them a few pounds of the snapper fillets I had on ice to brighten up their weekend but honestly, I was afraid of insulting them with the otherwise genuine offer due to the way the media and some crazy ass people have been acting. My wife and I talked about it going down the road and our feeling is its cultural, "country/rural" vs "city/urban", neither group were afraid to talk to each other and we treated each other with respect (based on race), that likely wouldn't have happened in Chicago or some other urban shit hole. |
