I think a large, strange male approaching a lone woman in central park and telling her “I’m going to do what I want, and you’re not going to like it.” is reasonable cause for some alarm. I have no doubt a few women will be raped and murdered in the future, because fear of being the next Amy Cooper made them say nothing and comply when a black male does something questionable or weird. There were better ways to respond, but he really did cross a line. |
