Gotta just file down the back of the middle dial or something like that hopefully? Or u thinking reducing the green dial "top" side? I thought i fucked my dial on the "173" I just did by getting fuxxin rodico all over the dial while seating the seconds hand. Lil freezer time+a toothpick and lense cleaning wipe got that situation figured out. But damn, ive bent font/scratched nice ass sunburst finishes/in general ruined iirc at least 2-4 dials by just being a careless/rushful idiot myself. Get er done my guy, and seriously best of luck! Sometimes you just gotta step away for a day and gather yourself/figure it out. Wish I would have realized that earlier..... Eta for the sake of being a pic thread:

Also im just an overall sucker for a framed day/date complication. Plus the case can go so many ways, dressy or field watchy. Is it the 38mm or 36mm case? I've had both and gifted them to friends(38 to a buddy and 36 to a female). But i almost preferred the 36 even though it is technically a "female size". Im definitely building myself another at some point, but atm I'm in no rush. |

Asking out of desperation! I have been searching for a dial that fits a Seagull TY2806 and I haven't found any that says it will fit. Specifically I'm looking for 35.5mm diameter, field or pilot style but really anything that will work. Help? I've read it's the same foot pattern as Miyota, and I've read they're different. |

Custom mod guys seem to be all over regarding price and quality, it seems the most difficult thing, for me to accomplish, is getting the custom face that I want. Anyone have a line on how to make or who can produce some? |

Beat to shit SKX007 style case from an aborted build, spare caseback from same build, as well as "big crown" from said project too, extra 62 mas scuffed hour(mostly...mostly...)+minute hand, extra stoplight seconds hand(odd color/shade), new saphire, new "low-pro" pilots style bezel, new dial, new nato, extra lumed chapter ring, and extra movement. Plus extra/spare gaskets+crown stem. Parts bin build:

Almost finished this one. I need to cut the stem at work. I did these in the kitchen at home. The dial is too light. I originally wanted a dark blue mother of pearl with the Tudor style indices but the first one came with a Seiko logo. The second one was sterile and a better blue, but it was the square Seiko style indices.  Some more lined up:  The blue mini-sub clone is getting this dial:  Here's something I'm working on that we can run when I get a break on the machines. I designed it to take a Miyota 9039 so it's not just another NH3x mod. I had planned on running 304SS or Ti. I have some other ideas for alloys and treatments. Maybe 17-4, nitrided 4140 or QPQ for black. I just got some 29mm and 33mm dial blanks to mess with and there's some abalone mother of pearl veneer coming Tuesday. I have a few processes in mind to make dials using the laser and/or mill and either a pad printer (I can make the plates) or buying a UV printer. I think I can either cast or strike indices in gold or another relatively soft metal. I don't want to machine them if I can avoid it. We've made watch cases before but I've never attempted dials.

I as well as many others pretty much view Seikos proprietary Lumibrite lume compound as leader in the lume game. Bright as hell and lasts nearly all night. Pair that with an LCBI rehaut/chapter ring+bezel insert(i find LCBI's lume to match great and last nearly as long as Lumibrite). Add a lumed day/date wheel too in C3 to match the green hue of the Lumibrite. All that being said many people comment on the fact that C3+Lumibrite do not look "pure white" during the day time hours as opposed to the blue lumed(BGW9) watches, which tend to. If you can get Lumibrite I'd highly recommend it. Eta: Super-LumiNova is the brand that makes both the green hued C3 and blue hued BGW9. |

In short my explorer/field watches dont get much rotation time even though visually they are probably my favorite. Love the Milgauss!

I wish they'd be more descriptive about the differences, there are three strap/bracelet variants listed but they all use the same picture. Do you remember if it was A, B or C? BTW, those clasps are available separately, but you might have to search a bit to find the width needed. AliExp link |

That's really the only difference. Each with or without cyclops and with or without the bracelet, then you can choose display back or solid. The one I got was "Case and strap D" with solid case back. |
