The M57 fuzes are more complex, and more mass produced by the way.

https://www.dote.osd.mil/Portals/97/pub/reports/FY2018/army/2018atacms.pdf

• The Army converted the M39 and M39A1 Army Tactical
Missile System (ATACMS) with anti-personnel and
anti-materiel (APAM) bomblets to the M57 ATACMS
500-pound Unitary warhead using the same single warhead
used in the Navy Harpoon missile.

• The Army integrated a proximity sensor into the M57
ATACMS Unitary to add an airburst mode and regain some
area eff ects capability. The new missile is designated M57E1
ATACMS Modifi cation (MOD).

• Seven of seven M57E1 ATACMS MOD missiles detonated
with the required accuracy and height of burst. The Army
conducted an operational test in March 2018. DOT&E
published a classifi ed report in September 2018.

The M57E1
ATACMS MOD adds a proximity sensor.

• The Army re-grained the M39/M39A1 motor, updated
obsolete navigation and guidance software and hardware,
and replaced the M39/M39A1 APAM bomblets with the
Navy Harpoon WDU-18/B warhead. The Army intends for
the warhead change to meet the unexploded ordnance rate
requirement defi ned in the 2017 DOD Policy on Cluster
Munitions.

A notebook of a Spanish-speaking mercenary was found in Ukrainian positions, in which he wrote down Ukrainian words to communicate with the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a man mobilized from Samara with the call sign “Cheshire” told RIA Novosti about this.

https://t.me/rian_ru/251617

Encrypted designations of the Ukrainian military for radio communications were found in the notebook of a Spanish-speaking mercenary, who was found at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

The Russian military found the notebook after the storming of a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the Krasnolimansk direction. One of the pages contains encrypted designations of various types of troops and combat units, some in Spanish, and some in English.

The Case for a Hard Break With China
Why Economic De-Risking Is Not Enough

https://archive.ph/AS5QW

President Bill Clinton spoke for many when he declared that China’s accession to the World Trade Organization was about “more than our economic interests; it is clearly in our larger national interest.”

It has not turned out that way. Instead, China has rapidly become—by some measures— the world’s largest economy and a powerful counterweight to U.S. influence. Its state-controlled economy and increasingly authoritarian leadership have subverted U.S. investment, supply chains, and institutions. Beijing’s efforts to use global integration to enhance Chinese power and harm U.S. interests have proliferated. The Chinese government has leveraged market access to force technology transfers from U.S. firms including Westinghouse, General Electric, and Microsoft. It has dominated global markets by flooding them with subsidized goods, including solar panels, and it has forced the National Basketball Association and its players into humiliating silence on Chinese human rights abuses.

The fundamental problem is that the United States’ free-market economy is incompatible with a Chinese state-controlled one. U.S. liberty and democracy are antithetical to the authoritarianism of the Chinese Communist Party. The United States must break from China or else become irrevocably corrupted by it....

A 100km from the Kerch bridge makes for a very target rich environment!   Not to mention Rostov On Don is also with that range.   US cluster munitions sowing their seed on every rally point, marshaling yard, rail depot, airfield, helo pad, and SAM/Radar site should keep them busy for a while!

"If Russia tries to expand the current front, Ukraine will be allowed to fire at a greater distance," US Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs James O'Brien said. Currently, the US is limiting the use of American weapons on Russian territory to within 100 kilometers of the border with Ukraine.

Previously, during the attack on Crimea, the defense forces destroyed the storage place of the "Shahed-136" attack UAV.

During the attack, "Storm Shadow" cruise missiles were used from the sides of the Su-24 (MR), the damage took place on (Abandoned) V/C 99375, which previously belonged to the USSR Navy.

It may be a ploy, suckering Russian forces into harm's way. It may be just a stupid as you suggest.

Ukraine deserves the latitude to use whatever systems they have where needed, when needed. Limiting the range inside of Russia reminds me of our Cambodian/Laos debacle in the Vietnam War.

Israel has killed another senior Hezbollah commander

The Saudi news outlet Al-Hadath reports that the Hezbollah commander killed in the Israeli strike in Tyre was Abu Ali Nasser, the head of the terror group's Aziz unit, one of three regional divisions in south Lebanon

The unit is responsible for the eastern district on the Israel-Lebanon border.

https://www.twz.com/air/aim-174-super-hornet-launched-variant-of-sm-6-missile-breaks-cover-in-hawaii
After years in the shadows, what is likely the longest-range air-to-air missile ever fielded by the Navy comes into full view.
View Quote

As an air-to-air weapon, the AIM-174B would provide the Super Hornet with the ability to engage a wide variety of aerial threats at distances of over hundreds of miles, a significant advantage over the current AIM-120 AMRAAM and likely also beyond the range of the still-in-development AIM-260 JATM. Air launch at speed and altitude by a fighter means it will have significantly greater range and enhanced kinematics over the surface-launched variant, although it does not have the booster that the standard SM-6 utilizes. The surface-launched SM-6’s range is currently thought to be around 230 miles, but this depends on many factors, including the mode in which it is being used.
View Quote

Such a long-range missile would be a huge advantage considering China is now fielding its own very long-range air-to-air missiles. Using AIM-174B against airborne early warning, reconnaissance, maritime patrol, aerial refueling, and bomber/cruise missile carrier aircraft at extreme ranges would be a major enhancement in the Navy’s air combat capabilities and a huge threat to these lumbering enemy aircraft. This would be one key way the U.S. could help counter a portion of China’s looming anti-access infrastructure.

SHARK flew 70 km to the rear of the enemy and helped Hymars destroy the rare "NEBO-SVA" radar. These are the ones who are trying to control the airspace of Ukraine over long distances... but it will no longer be able to 🔥🔥
The cost of such an enemy radar is tens of millions of dollars.
