Tire inflator is damn sweet. I bought a Ridgid because I already have the batteries and I keep it in my side by side, along with a tire plug kit.
I almost want to buy the Ryobi. |

They=Ryobi? Any manuf really. Breaking lug nuts by hand is just starting to get hard on my old hands I ordered the 1/2" impact and hp batteries this morning. Had to go to town so I checked on my order while there. According to them it doesn't start in store until the 23rd. They had a hell of a time finding the 3 pack of hp batteries. Got home and the impact zipped a lug right of my truck! 3 nice batteries and a brushless impact for $200 ain't bad. |

Dammit.
Welp, I'm in for two more batteries and....lessee.... a hedge trimmer this time. -bob |

how well will the ryobi 1/4" impact driver (1800 in./lbs) work on lugnuts?

I just ordered the two batteries and the reciprocating saw. The saw won't be in stock until 5/31 but the batteries are available at the local HD. I'll see if that saw can help me lop some of the branches off the small mesquites we have growing around our property. Those little branches have those wicked sharp thorns.

It looks like its an online only deal now, the local store near me won't honor the deal until Monday. YMMV.

Quoted: Awesome. I bought 3. Off to the store… View Quote Pretty sure the M12 FUEL stubby 3/8 impact, or the M18 impacts would. Stubby has 250ft lb of breakaway torque. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Fastening/Impact-Wrenches/2554-20 |

Quoted: Quoted: how well will the ryobi 1/4" impact driver (1800 in./lbs) work on lugnuts? Joking? You need 1/2 “ for lugnuts. And you'd want an impact wrench, not an impact driver. Impact driver requires hex shank adaptor to use sockets. The adaptor will probably break trying to remove tough lugnuts Impact wrench, no adaptor needed for sockets |

Quoted: How is the angle grinder? I'm at a loss for what to get as well and can see some utility in the grinder. I have 3 corded ones but portability would be handy. I wish there was a 1/2 impact available, but I don't see one. View Quote A friend has the angle grinder, it is good. Just goes thru batteries fairly quick. I don't regret getting the 1/2" impact when it first came out. |

Quoted: Those are very handy. I use it regularly to air up my bike and motorcycle tires, and I don't need to haul out the pancake compressor and wrangle a hose to keep our car tires in spec. Worth every penny (especially if it's free!). I'm thinking of going with the 2 pack of LED lights or the power inverter for the impending rolling blackouts. That's a very convenient tool, too. I have the 40V setup with the string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer. I do a lot more hedge trimming instead of just once or twice a year when I had to haul out the 100' cord. View Quote I have three 40v power heads currently. One of which is brushless. The other two were finds in a local "dump" store, no batts or tool heads. Paid $20 each for them. |

Anyone have experience with the 10" HP chainsaw? Seems like it would be perfect for my small lot, suburb life.

Thank you, Opie. I'm on a quest to establish a base of good tools.

Quoted: I got that one in 2020. It works great for the price. I was going to get the M18 version but I have 5 shrubs I trim once or twice a year. View Quote I have the M18 and havent used the Ryobi, and wish I wouldve got the Ryobi. I got into Ryobi over the last year for one-off projects/tasks, and wish I wouldve done it sooner as a homeowner. I couldve saved a bunch of money over multiple projects if I wouldve went the Ryobi route for the frequency of use for the specific tools |

FWIW, I have the Ridgid, M18 ,Ryobi, and Dewalt 18v fan. I also have the M12 fan. If I had to rank them: Ridgid, DeWalt, Ryobi, Milwaukee M18, in that order for the 18v.The M12 fan is now my favorite..... |
