For me a song has to have a personal connection to be depressing.

A lot of people have no idea what this song is about but it reminds me of a very difficult time in my life.

A friend of mine killed herself in high school after her boyfriend dumped her when she told him she was pregnant. This song came out not too long after. I've only ever been able to listen to it all the way through once.
