My prediction:
Trump wins. They spend 2 months crying fraud. They lock down DC during the elector certification. Kamala throws a couple states out claiming fraud and refuses to count Trump’s electors. Declares herself winner and certifies it. There is constitutional authority and historical precedence for this. It’s what Pence should have done in 2021. |

I wondered why USSS was being given troops 'for support'. Then I read that the other fed agencies that have been backstopping events were only apparently getting CBT to learn how to do protective ops, so I figured that was what they were for. If they are calling the election certification a NSSE, that means they can use the troops to secure the certification places. Right? |

A NSSE isn't super uncommon, the superbowl is one, each political convention is one, the G-8 summit or whatever is one. I was on the planning team for the 2016 RNC NSSE. The money thrown at it was impressive. Lots of things you don't see. Closed airspace, NG on standby. Being in DC this one should be pretty easy. They don't need national guard, they could just use the federal troops for everything. |
