I'll start..  My first one. Bayliner Capri. Gutted the interior, redesigned the seating, had the seats recovered, new windshields..and like an idiot I sold it.  Replaced it with this 21" Peterborough cuddy. Had it in the water once.. It found a new home last summer.  Bought this Baja in Feb. It is in really good shape for the year.  All 3 were projects..the Peterbourough being the easiest repair job which I never got around to. |

About 6 years ago I picked up this 1976 Tri-hull with a Volvo AQ130 engine. What a big f'ing pain in the ass, thing was a mess. I rebuilt the engine, tore out the deck and re-foamed and re-glassed the whole deck. Sold it for 4 times what I paid but, that said the labor sucked.  " /> " /> " /> " />Then I found this 4 years ago, 1992 20ft SeaRay bow rider, owned by an optometrist who died in his sleepand his wife was selling it. Paid 6500.00 had 600 hours on it. Guy kept 30+ years of service records, garage stored and winterized every winter. Fresh water only. 4.3 merc runs like it was brand new. I even have the original bill of sale when he bought it. I can't post pictures, but google image search "Starcraft islander 221" It's the V model, and that just means it has the heavy duty reinforced hull. Mine is a 94 with a 4.3 mercruiser. Rare boat in these parts, usually they only pop up in coastal areas. So when one popped up i jumped on it. A solid 8hr round trip to bring it home.

Does this count or should I GTFO. I never really enjoyed riding PWCs despite having motorcycles all my life. A friend convinced me to give them another try a couple years ago just touring/cruising. The larger ones are much more stable than the little ones I have ridden previously so we don't just turn over any time someone leans too far. I can actually stand on one side of this one and not turn it over. So far its been fantastic. I know boaters often despise pwc riders but remember 90% of pwc riders give the rest of us a bad name. The wife and I love cruising around enjoying the water and it takes up a fraction of the room in the shop that our boat did. The only negative is we can't take our puppers. I tried once and as soon as I started it they jumped overboard. lol   |

Attached File The first mako built... neat classic flats boat that's sitting in my yard begging a restoration. Attached File My weekend boat, it's a old proline that the guy before me spent all the money on. Attached File My wife's sailboat, we use it the.most. its my favorite. No motor, no electricity, nothing to break. Attached File We work on boats too, they are less fun, but still my problem |
Our 25 year old 17'-9" LOA Weld-Craft. Perfect for exploring all the lakes, spring runs and rivers down here. Gets used a little over 100 hours a year on average. Pic is on Juniper springs run about 3 miles from lake George. |

I recently bought this Catalina 22. It's currently in a slip at a lake about an hour from my house. The lake has been too high to pull it out(I tried  ). I have a spot at a much closer lake waiting for it. I have a private sailing lesson planned as soon as I get it to its new home and then it's off to the races. Not gonna lie, whenever I seriously imbibe with my favorite spirit, it's pretty predictable that I conclude we need a boat, if the subject is considered.
