One of top 5 favorite movies and this scene is awesome.

According to gd, this sequel shouldn't have been made. Freakin' wrong.
This scene, the opening HALO raid, hot potato chase scene. Awesome flick. |

The ambush scene with the Mexican Federales was also very good. I liked the line from Jeffrey Donovan's character after was shot. "Fuck, a Mexican police shot me?". It's like he was especially pissed that it was Mexican who shot him. Kinda like being shot with a Hi Point. No one wants to go out that way.

Both movies were good but the first was better. The actors were perfect in their roles.

Pretty sure if I was in the back of that pickup with two helicopters' following us, I would have jumped out and run away hope they leave me alone.

Without her viewpoint in the 2nd one, it was just Brolin and Del Toro doing their thing so there was much less discovery and exposition so they relied more on action set pieces. Also, notice the minimal presentation and tension build of Denis Villeneuve vs the more action-oriented pacing by Stefano Sollima, who did Without Remorse. |

The first showed the shadowy part of ops in a never-ending fight to control bad things going on. Put together and operating brilliantly at the ground level. The second showed the absolute fuckery of the shadowy part, it's backstabbing and demand to always remain unaccountable, and the willingness to throw anybody away that no longer serves its purpose (not that different from the cartels). An idea that fucked up because its grasp of how things actually were on the ground was wrong, and then that has repercussions from the top on down. It will be interesting to see where it is going with Graver's group and Alejandro. It's a pretty good contrast, of the two sides of the same coin. |

I thought that was debunked already… TMZ found out it was Banderas and some dude from wardrobe, totally off script! |

Good use of the HK417. Pretty sure they had a good advisor because I think that’s how the 417 is often used in real world applications according to some former action guys.

A.) That isn’t Antonio Banderas. B.) As I said in the other thread, the water was to wash up afterwards. Right up there with the helicopter assault in AN and the self pleasuring scene in Toy Story. |
