Just got a P2S with AMS As I make the jump into 3D Printing, what advice, can you guys provide. Anything I need to get on top of the P2S and AMS? Thank you |

You can get some fun 3d effect build plates from amazon and AliExpress very reasonable. Hobby lobby also has a decent build plate you can buy off the shelf. Obsessed has imo the best filament dessicant spool. You can get the orange color changing filament from amazon or hobby lobby easy enough. I prefer the hobby lobby due to the crystals being larger and I seem to make less of a mess with them. |

I'm much like you, only a few months ahead. I started a thread after reading a bunch of threads in here where I could ask questions about statements without thread sliding. There is a bunch covered in there that got me on a solid start. I'm still a novice really. I haven't designed my first part yet, though I did download Fusion 360. I even opened it! :p I haven't needed to buy anything specific for most of my stuff, even printing ABS in the P2S is nice. I did adjust my default bed temp to 100°C and keep the right fan off during printing for that and of ar so good, even for some larger parts with high walls. |

Matte PLA looks better than basic. Get lots of black and white, you'll go through a lot of it. The Bambu rfid filament feature is nice in the AMS but the Elegoo, Sunlu, Polymaker and eSun bulk sales on Amazon are hard to beat and those filaments all print great. Make one of your first projects printing a poop-chute and then make the next project printing PETG desiccant holders for your AMS and buy a pound or 2 of alumina desiccant beads to fill them with. If you order filaments from Bambu, make sure every color you don't already have comes with a spool and isn't just a refil. Printing spools sucks. (and don't be surprised when finding all the filaments you want to get the bulk discount from Bambu are never in stock at the same time) After desiccants, print a tool box designed to fit all the tools and supplies your printer came with. Consider getting a separate filament dryer, preferably that can do 2 spools at once. (Your AMS can't dry and print at the same time) Optional but wish I had done it at the beginning: print an AMS riser. So nice to be able to top feed TPU and get top access without having to move the AMS. I'll post links later to the items above I printed and I'm sure other's will add their suggested ones too.
