I suspect that if anyone had a PROGRAM from the airshow, or had bothered to look up who the crews were on the EF-18 Growler Demo team were, you could figure it out...... I don't have a program, nor do I really care.... Male, Female, Trans, whatever..... Whomever they are they were picked to be there..... AND YES....... Someone did fuck up.... |

What's most important, is that everyone will learn something from this. Even if you only fly a 150, you'll still learn something...... If you want to. |
| I have no idea why anybody in this thread is shitting on those pilots. Some of the most professional and competent human beings I’ve ever met in my life are Air Force and Navy pilots. They have to make split second decisions involving variables that as a ground pounder, I never even had to think about. I’m just grateful they weren’t killed. |

I'm thinking those four all should have bought lottery tickets that day. Never saw two fighters crash into each other and instead of turning both into aluminum confetti, got stuck together in such a way that all four ejected. Something of a feat in itself. Your above quote I know to be true cuz you're talking 'bout ME LMAO. I learned a LOT flying 152's....like.....DON'T. I hated flying them; felt like I was in a hang glider. (I'm a big dude) I much preferred 172's 182's, certain Piper models. And YEAH. Every Whoops I had I STILL remember the lessons I learned from this and that today, and that's been awhile..... |

Probably waiting to comply a complete list.(obviously a joke). But really names don't matter, lessons learned do, even obvious ones. But another F-18 went down in WA yesterday. From quick video it looks like pilot ejected LOW level, inverted.

In flight school you learn how to not fly your aircraft into obstacles. Imagine a guy throws a frag grenade into a room instead of a flash bang, has an ND and shoots somebody, or emplaces a claymore backwards. In basic training you learn how to do all those things the correct way. I would hope that you'd question if anybody who did those things was competent to do his job. |
