I figured he'd have learned his lesson the first time it hit him.

A few feet in the other direction and it would have had to pressure wash him off the runway

For what it's worth on my jet there is a special inspection required after bird strikes, but hitting a person doesn't require anything special.

Austin repealed it's homeless camping ordinance, so any place is fair game. Did they find a tent anywhere? |

View Quote I need to see about adding tweakers and headcases to my airport's depredation permit. I at least want to be able to use bird bangers for them. |

My crew had to clean a deer out of the nose gear of an AC-130U that hit it just prior to rotation. It was God-awful. That much damage to the cowling, most of the clean-up would have been handled by the fire department, 'cause they have the hoses. |

Those canadas are just so fatty that they are a giant pain to clean off since just water doesn't do much. |

I’ve heard an anecdote about a U-28 hitting a deer right at Vr. They completed the takeoff, came around, and landed.
It was a buck and his headgear still was imbedded into the leading edge. |
