I'll probably be getting it this evening. My wife and daughter are leaving tomorrow at lunch for the weekend for a volleyball tournament and won't be back until Sunday so I'll actually have some time to sit down and play it in-between ball games.
Only question: get it on PC and play at medium quality or on PS5? |

Good idea, I'll check out a stream. Yeah I've got some guys I coop with. I just wonder how much content is there for that. I'm kind of thinking I'll like multiplayer more. |

Playing it now and frankly, it’s kicking my ass. ![]() I was happy for the PVE modes so I don’t have to play PVP with a bunch of adderall-hyped fast twitch teenagers. Only to find out the game wants you to have fast twitch blocking and dodging instincts - which I don’t have, yet. I died on the intro mission in one particular fight about 5-6 times before beating it by the skin of my teeth. |

| I think I'm nearing the end of the campaign, played coop with 2 buddies. Playing on Veteran. It's pretty fun but nothing groundbreaking. I have absolutely no idea what's actually going on in the campaign though, but I have no Warhammer knowledge, so that probably doesn't help. Plenty of frustration at the difficulty. Will probably try some pvp after the campaign. Zero bugs so far, probably the most stable launch I've encountered in a long time. 7/10 based solely on campaign play. |

I just can't see myself spending a lot of time with the game in its current state. Again, it was pretty good though. I liked the combat and story. I just don't think it's worth the cost. I'll be paying attention to this one though and will rebuy if there's a bunch more stuff. |

It's a twitch game which I am terrible at. Got about 2 hours into the main mission before I called it quits and got a refund. May have been more enjoyable if I knew anything at all about Warhammer. It was also excruciatingly slow to start. Once up and running it was fine but damn it took forever to load in the game resources with each start up. It also crashed on the first opening cinematic. The second run it played smoothly. |

There's a coop campaign, a separate coop side campaign, multiplayer with multiple game modes, every SM gun variant in the universe to level, 6 classes to level, skins for everything, and a roadmap of the next year's worth of more content on the way. The only thing this game is missing is sweet sweet Eldar tiddies |

SM2 is neither of those things. But I always worry about lack of content/progression in games too. This is by no means the best progression system, but I don't think it's supposed to be. I'm new to the series so I'm going in knowing nothing about it. SM2 does look very good from the couple gameplay videos I've watched so far. |

I prefer controllers, so planning on getting a PS5 Dual Sense "Edge" & using Steam settings or 3rd party emulation to enable gyro aim for a "best of both worlds" experience. MSFT not implementing gyro aiming into its controllers is curious gaff. |

Interestingly, you have the option to set it to work like a R joystick or mouse input. The other neat feature on the Edge controller is the modular joysticks, which enable replacement if drift sets in, or upgrading if something like Hall effect sensor sticks become available. For whatever reason, MSFT hasn't incorporated gyro aim functionality into its latest controller, though there have been rumors of that the supposed "Elite 3" controller might have it - assuming they even release a new pad. |

I started playing it last night and got to the middle of the second mission. I'm not a WH40K player or fanboy. I'm just somebody that thinks the universe/lore/setting are all super cool and interesting. So far, it's pretty bad ass, and the best way I can describe it is Metal. ![]() I hope it maintains the level of quality and momentum. I really like the Tyranids as an enemy. I have an Xbox One controller, but I hate aiming with controllers in shooter games, so I'm playing with a mouse and keyboard. Sometimes I find myself just flailing around smacking buttons to try and stay alive when I get swarmed. ![]() I'll need to go back and play the first game after I finish this one. |
Is it better to be feared or loved? That's easy to answer. Get both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.

Gyro aim is what you seek. Currently, on Sony controllers have it. I would do that in DayZ and it's been a while, but I think I used to do that with GTA V when I needed to shoot from the vehicle. Maybe the PS5 controller solves the issue. I want to run around with my walking tank bro in SM2 using the controller but then, I have to aim and I just go back to the mouse and keyboard. I actually have a fabled Steam controller around somewhere. It actually has a mouse touchpad (similar to what it sounds like the PS5 has). Maybe I should dig it out and try it. I never did give it a fair shake or try to play with it in any 3rd person shooters. |

Went all in (PS5 version) and got the season pass too, mainly because I had a PSN gift card laying around and nothing to spend it on... I knew/know NOTHING about the 40K WarHammer universe and it was a $100 blind investment, but so far, so good! First thing I did was the campaign on the normal setting to get used to the gameplay style which was helpful. It was not difficult, at all, to die, and while I'm no pro-gamer I liked that but also found it frustrating on several occasions. The PVP modes and locations are limited but that's going to expand. I've spent the most time (60+ hours in now IIRC) with the PVE with both co-op and bots with mixed success. I have NO idea why a LVL 1 would jump into a higher level of difficulty game but it certainly sucks when they keep going down and either rage quit or they get me and our other teammate killed carrying their ass and it ends up with a mission failure. Spending a 1/2 hour to get sub-triple digits of XP is bullshit. Running with bots on anything other than the easy difficulty is no picnic, that's for sure. I've seen no shortage of maxed-out/LVL 25 folks and have no idea how they've gotten there so quickly; I'm slogging and barely pushing 11 on an assault class right now. I recently did the COD BO6 beta and I just can't get into the frantic Adderall required pace needed to play the game, SBMM aside. The speed required in SM2 is requisite of that of a humanoid size tank, so the pacing/movement speed is much easier to process. It'll give me something to do waiting for the next Battlefield since I'm worn out on 2042 and I can see putting a decent amount of time in it; the story, graphics, etc. are all top notch. |

. That's pretty lame.
