Wake up when they make one that takes G21 mags in .45 acp. Hopefully they sell frames too. In 9mm and .45 acp.

I just held one.
Stealth grey, full length rail, commander slide, flat trigger. I did not disassemble it. It felt REALLY good in the hand. Fit and finish were excellent. Trigger was crisp and light. It did not feel bulky or huge in the hand. I could seriously consider getting one. |

I talked to them on Friday. They are making mine and putting the Acro I sent them to test on it. I got mine with a commander slide When it gets to my FFL I’ll take pictures of it and post it here. I didn’t do anything nuts on coloration or anything Black frame with a gray slide, round trigger guard. I’m extremely excited.

Not a fan of the finger grooves or grip texture.
Kind of surprised they didn't offer a grip module and removable mag well. I'm still interested, I'd just be more interested if they changed a few things. |

An all metal frame that reminds me of a Para 1911.
Having shot paras back in the day I'm a little... . |

I wonder if you can get both a Threaded and Non-Threaded Barrel???

It's not as outrageous as some posted here, but this is the one I'm thinking of ordering...

Super cool, I like all the options. While you can obviously make a silly looking one, there are some cool looking designs available.

And now it’s April 2nd and I still have my receipt for the gun I ordered that will be coming back to me with the Aimpoint Acro that I sent to Stealth (in the beginning of March, no less) so they could use it to design the slide geometry so they could offer the Platypus to the public precut for the Acro. Maybe read the whole thread?

The level of customization for the money is pretty nutty. No compensated options tho, big sad. That would really make it competitive.

For those asking, stealth arms has been around for years. They were pretty big in the 80% space but with threats to 80% market they move on to this. They will be here in a week or two I think. Any serious questions besides “why platypus” I will pass them on to Mr B and see if they would like that info here. Once again on the grip. There are no grip panels which allows the grip to be thinner. It is very comfortable. Very much more so than say a 92f if that is a concern. |

Quoted: @JamPro is it going to be similar to the XC? View Quote As far as the frame milling and porting? I will not even pretend to know the answer. I will check Tuesday and see if I can see the drawing or ask for information. I have held the 10mm/45 proto and will try and shoot them early next week. Was supposed to do that yesterday but the little storm messed that up. Happycamel. The Glock mags were selected for consistency and cost compared to 1911 mags & 2011 mags respectively. I’m sure you could make an argument for xyz mag but just the volume of Glock 17/19 mags out there settles that. |

Is the mag catch metal or polymer? Metal will wear down the notch on polymer magazines quicker.
