This is what happens when it rains hard and you have a sand road...and the biggie is that your 4x4 doesn't function.

I buried it to the spare tire with 35" mud tires.  Mud tires make great shovels.

Neighbor had to pull me out, he tried with his Kaw Mule but had to switch to his Tacoma.

I feel like less of a man being rescued by a Toyota.

Been there and it sucks. Glad you got out.

Been there done that. I wonder if airing down early on would’ve gotten you unstuck. I buried my truck in my yard once in 4wd and sometimes late at night I wonder if I had aired down prior to making it so much worse if I could’ve saved myself those 2 hours.

If you’re comfortable using a Hi-lift, these work great.

Is that even possible being a Ford owner? :)

Those are not mud tires...it may say mud terrain...I can assure you, the tread is to tight and lugs to small to properly self clean. Once they get packed full..you have slicks.
I have been stuck quite a few times. I started carrying a winch. Prior to that a lever hoist to drag me out...it is a bad time to find out your girlfriend can't drive a stick. E tool, a shovel, Hatchet and saw...chainsaw works better.
Dig out shelves to stack logs in. Jack up truck and put logs under the tires. Get down on it!

Maybe you should fix your issue with the 4 wheel drive so it works.

Hey....you're the one that posted the thread about your truck getting stuck, because your 4x4 doesn't work, and having to be pulled out by a toyota.....

Get a set of Chinese Ebay Knock Off Maxtrax / Traction boards.

$50
https://www.ebay.com/itm/135141090816

I have nice set of US Action Trax (made in the USA).

How To Use Your MAXTRAX | MAXTRAX Tips

When you get your 4x4 working, you still can get stuck. Air down your tires down to 15 psi, shift into 4wd low, turn on your rear locker (if you have one) and do this:

Off-Road: How to Remove a Stuck Car out of the Sand

Note the above works for dry sand. It most likely wont work for mud / really wet sand. You ought to start thinking about getting a winch with synthetic winch line. I have been doing a lot of recoveries over the past 2 years with my Harbor Freight 12k Synthetic Apex Winch.

https://www.harborfreight.com/12000-lb-winch-with-synthetic-rope-and-wireless-remote-56385.html

Skip steel winch line, it sucks. It wants to birds nest when in free spool and broken strands from the steel cable will stab your hand.

A come-a-long can work as a hand winch but they suck.

The best come-a-long hand winch is the Wyeth Scott More Power Puller.
https://www.wyeth-scott.com/orders.php

But... they are heavy and are almost expensive as a good winch like a Badland Apex 12k synthetic.

People frown on the lack of tech in a Toyota, but at least the 4WD works.

They do? All I see it Toyotas with features like adaptive cruise control and crawl control and even a feature to try to get you unstuck without actually having to do anything yourself.

I pulled out a 4 door long box F150 a few years back. He was stuck in the snow. Pulled him out with a little single cab short box 4wd Nissan hardbody. Shit happens. Sometimes all you need is a little nudge.

I've pulled out two 3rd gen Tacoma TRD OR's in the last 6 months with my Jeep Wrangler.

1 was stuck in the mud by the lake. He went to help out his buddy that was stuck in a F150. I didn't get the Taco on video but did get the F150.
I used my kinetic rope on both vehicles.

The other broke a CV Axle. I had to winch him up a rock ledge, then he was able to drive the rest of the way off the trail. Where a friend picked him up with a flat bed trailer.

I never busted a CV axle on my 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD OR and I wheeled it pretty hard. I think it was only a matter of time though.

Everyone that I know of that wheels a Toyota just expects to break a CV.

A selling point to me on switching to Jeep from a 4Runner. A Jeep Wrangler is built to be an off road vehicle that can drive on the highway. A Toyota is a highway vehicle that can go off road.
There is a difference.

F150's - great highway cruiser and kind of fun in the sand. My 2019 F150 Platinum can use it's locking rear differential in any drive mode to include 2wd, 4A, 4H, and 4L. You cant do that in Toyota.

Well...it wasn't a Ford issue, it was a defective IWE not made by Ford.  Brand new, less than 100 miles on the set.  The driver's side broke so open front diff with one side not engaging = no 4 wheel drive.

I installed the Dorman eliminator kit this morning, steel gears and no rubber or plastic moving parts.

Should be good to go now.

I also bought a high lift jack with wheel lift straps, a tree strap and a couple of shackles to throw in the back cargo area just in case I need to pull somebody else out next time
