Hmmmmm, I would live to have a de-EPA'd Ford 6.7 in our GM70 medium duty dump truck.

If we have to keep it " factory stock"
LS7 in one of my Miatas so I can have a fun mountain car while I K swap the other one. |
Give me a mechanical 5.9 Cummins and a 5 speed in my 88 Grand Wagoneer.
ETA scratch that. Gimme a 3.5 EcoBoost and a 10 speed auto. |
Why Wranglers don't come with a 5.7 HEMI as a factory option I will never know...
I have a Hemi in my Ram 3500. It’s great when I’m not town. Mileage is terrible when I’m towing near max loads. For that reason as well as long term fuel storage, I wish I had gotten the diesel.
ETA: I’m not educated enough to know if that switch is possible, but that’s what I’d like to do. I guess I’ll be doing another Drive from Kellogg Idaho to Alaska in a year or two. |

LSA Motor or LS7, should be a pretty simple swap since my car already comes with a GM 6.2 Liter. But the added displacement or added supercharger would be nice.
A 572 in my ‘06 Tahoe sounds pretty good.
Rear end wont last long . |

I would LT5 all of the things. Who doesn’t want a reliable 755 hp with Chevy maintenance costs?
The 1GR-FE 4.0L V-6 in my 05 4Runner is great and lasts forever - love the timing chain instead of a belt - that was one of the more annoying long-term maintenance tasks of Toyotas.
Not sure I'd swap for the 2UZ-FE 4.7L Toyota V-8 of similar vintage. I have experience with it from a previously owned 4Runner. It has legendary reliability, but damn it gets sucky MPG. With my 70 mile daily round-trip commute, I'm not sure 500,000 mile reliability versus 350,000 mile reliability is worth the MPG tradeoff. I guess if the swap was really free - I'd go with a Diesel Toys conversion to a Toyota OEM international market diesel from a Hilux (1KD-FTV) with a 5-speed auto. That's a $26,500 conversion. But I'd get 30-35 MPG |
A twin turbo Toyota 1VD-FTV V8 diesel with a manual transmission into my '08 V8 4Runner.
Demon engine into my Ram 1500. Because fuck it, that’s why...
Does it include the drivetrain as well? Like the diff, transmission, etc.?
Probably would leave my truck as-is, but my E46 3 series? I’d probably throw an E39 M5 motor in it. I know it would fit, which is at least half the battle here. Would be fun to have one of the newer engines, since the M5 motor only makes like 400hp. But that would probably be pretty nice in that car, since it’s smaller and lighter than the E39 5 series which was a fantastic car itself. Maintenance on them isn’t too terrible. I’d probably go with that |

In to my current 2019 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium |

I'll take a Kenne Bell tuned turbo V6 put in my 1991 S10 project.
My own version of a Syclone |
Tacoma X-Runner would get a 2jz with a big single turbo.
67 Buick would get an LS9 87 Toyota 4x4 would get a 3.4 toyota V6 with a TRD S/C 87 Toyota 2wd would get a 3SGTE (BEAMS) or a mild turbo build 2rz |

I have a 2000 K3500 dually, 6.5L diesel from factory. Definitely going to swap it for a Pratt & Whitney R-2800-65W Double Wasp in this scenario.
What tranny to run a radial engine? Do I need an aftermarket hood? |

I’m torn between a 392 hemi to build NA or a Hellephant crate motor in my 4th gen ram
I’d swap the 6.2L and 10 speed I to my 16 Silverado. Can’t wait for 2020 when it’s an option for the LT Trail Boss.

LT1 with MT.
In my ATS. It'd be almost drop in, considering it'd be going into an Alpha platform. Probably still have to relocate a couple components and or fabricate mounts. I'd have to upgrade the prop shaft, rear gearbox, and axles shafts. With coilovers and some tweaking to get 285/30R18 or 295/30R18 meats on it, I'd be set. The last 2 things would be a carbon fiber hood and try to strip about 100-200lbs out of the front half of the car, and a Borla cat-back exhaust. |
There isn't anything worth swapping into my Mazda 3, so I'll go to my old ae86 Corolla. A bone stock Honda k24 from a TSX with the s2000 transmission would have made the car a beast. Were it not for California smog laws I would have done the f20/f22 when I had the car.

6.0 powerstroke ZF6 6 speed in a 1950 chopped and channeled Mercury.
yaaaaaaaa, kinda pondered that route with my 91...i thought (newbishly) that if i sticking a GM motor (ls/lt) in there i may as well just save the hassle and just buy a suburban...i dont offroad enough to be that serious, and my wife doesnt like hte flip in 3rd row seats...safety...
what we NEED to do, is repeal that Chicken Tax Law that was aimed at vW love bus then we could get the foreign trucks witout all the extra taxes (ie, manuf would import them as folks would buy them cause they werent 30% over what the manuf wanted to sell em for) then, we could get the cool turbo diesels and love it.... |
i suppose i could put my superbike motor in my utv. that would be a rip
My 3/4 ton Yukon XL has a Vortec 6.0L in it. Just replace it with a built engine of the same design, twin charged (turbo feeding a super charger), and E85 conversion.
Or turbo diesel, can't decide. Kharn |
I'd take a hellephant motor in my ram 2500.
Or if we could do boats, I could go for a couple mercury 1350s in my sea ray. |
Ok... Let's play the game!
2JZ GTE and he 6 speed that goes with it. Shove it in to my 2011 camry, and hook up that back axle only please. I will supply a BPU for 600ish HP and call it a day. |
If we're talking full on drive train swap.....
1980 Triumph Spitfire Toyota 2JZ block with a 2JZ-GTE head (blocks between the Non GTE and GTE engines were different) Nissan CD009 six speed transmission with the Collins Adapter Kit Lexus GS400 rear end Single Turbo!!!!!! |
