Tough loss but can be understood. NC is a P5 program and were playing at home. People underestimated Mack Browns ability to get that team ready and also based a lot of the perception of what NC looked like the previous 2 years when they suffered a lot of injuries, dealt with suspensions etc.
Plus it’s overshadowed by the Tennessee and Missouri disasters. Those 2 losses are completely unacceptable / laughable.

It’s game day baby! I’m so excited for this game today I can’t even put it into words. Regardless of the outcome it’s the start of a new era for UH football!

Go Coogs!

Slight correction - Charlotte is as neutral a site as you’ll ever get for this game.   Charlotte sits on the border of NC/SC and is almost 45 minutes closer to Columbia than it is to Chapel Hill.

Guess I assumed since NC was listed as the home team and the pictures you sent out showed the stadium in blue it was an NC home game.
Is that the Charlotte Hornets stadium?

That makes sense.
Not being an NFL fan I didn’t even think about them. Stadium capacity did look a little large for a G5 school.

Does Houston have any shot at beating OU tonight?

The shit I'm taking from an OU acquaintance in regards to my Vols is making me really...REALLY want to see the sooners get stomped.

Mike Leach/TTU coaching tree in this matchup.  Might be lower scoring than we think, I could see 45-31 type game

I was wrong, too. I thought we wouldn't cover the spread. 49-0 is pretty good. We'll see how things look against a good team soon enough, but it's a good start.

I was impressed by the team as a whole, with the exception of the kicking game.  We still need a place kicker.

Yes. See our previous matchup in 2016 only we have a way better qb and receivers set this year.

We’re missing Ed Oliver but their defense sucks too.  Going to be a fun game to watch.

So far players are where they're supposed to be, making tackles and being disruptive. Better than anything I've seen out of them for the past 3-4 years under Bob's drunken little brother. I'll take it as a definite improvement for now.

Hurts looks good so far, he looks like he has total grasp of the offensive system. Also showcasing a little bit of talent. Houston is completely outclassed in the early going here.

Yeah, really enjoying watching him play.

More importantly, I'm stoked watching the Defense play!  My mind is blown in the early going, all these 3 and outs are overloading my brain.

Wasn't planning on Houston being that flat at first, but I hope to have a nice little shootout in the second half!
