I kind of thought "I've seen enough airsoft stuff" to know that this was impossible and what the ATF said was complete and utter BS.

That is just unbelievable that someone would even say that and people wonder why we don't trust this government. When you have a moron say something like that and won't produce the evidence. I can see it coming now and the American people had better be ready for it.

Seriously... How many people trust airsoft parts on real guns? I know arfcom members for the most part don't. Who in the hell would trust an airsoft gun to shoot one 5.56 round, much less in full auto. Even if this did seem remotely possible, I don't think criminals would bother converting airsoft toys into actual firearms. |

| how stupid are these people! or are they? they just busted a bunch of airsoft rifles because they could be rendered into full-auto mg`s. my thinking is that the atf could use their reasoning to say if these airsoft rifles could be converted( and it would be very difficult indeed if not impossible) it would be much easier to do it with real ar rifles and hence give them an opening to intercepting any and all ar`s from any manufacture with an executive order from "head-cheese" himself. just a thought. |

| I am almost motivated to buy one of these POS's so I can write up a report and give a demonstration on how not possible this is. I will then present it to the ATF so that maybe It will get me a job. Then I will proceed to clean the place up from all the morons they have hired. I took a civilian job because I was tired of the government work that seemed to never stay on schedule or come anywhere near completion without absolute failure. Now, I see where our money is being wasted and it's time they stop hiring liberal idiots from the road with a state college degree and start hiring our returning soldiers. |

Well since it has been a few years we now know the ATF was correct
the gun in question was a gas blowback AR which had a lower reciever which was dimensionally close enough to a real AR enough to convert to a firing AR (not full auto) airsoft NW will even tell you that now. |
