Currently have a 16ft deep v-hull and am looking to upgrade to something that is more fun and will fit 4 people and 2 dogs comfortably. Due to storage restraints I'm looking to keep it at 21 feet or less. There is a couple of used scarab 195's near me for ok money along with some yamaha ar192's. I've got lots of good info about the yamaha from some owners but dont know anyone who runs a scarab. Does anyone in the hive have hands on experience?

They must have lost them all in a boating accident.

They work the best with a blond haired, big titted lifeguard on board.
That's about all I remember.

Meh...for the dough I'd get an reverse chine aluminum hull with a v-8 and a doan jet pump. Much more utilitarian, tougher, and faster.

I used to build jet boats for this company back at its inception.

Had 3 Yamaha jet boats since 2008 (keep upgrading) go yamaha all day over scarab jet.

Easier to maintain, well built reliable engines, tons of after market support.

Growing up here on the water in the 80s there were three brands of go fast boats... (nobody called them that at the time tho)
Scarabs, Cigarettes (god i loved the top gun) and the pink fountains.

On the smaller end you had bajas, donzis, and checkmates.
god, i miss the 80s.

My dad had a 2008 Yamaha SX230 for a while, awesome boat that cruised really well and would run around 55 or so top end.
