So does anyone have one, or personally know of anyone that has one, or has anyone even seen one in the wild? I'm no on all three of those, and honest to God I kinda feel sorry for Dodge, in that whoever gambled to put so much into it didn't think it through enough. I mean, when i search new inventory for Dodges at local dealers, it's amazing and kinda sad how many are on the lots. I wonder if they can "fleet" them for something...anything. IMHO the fully loaded ICE version (not the R/T) is not a bad vehicle by the stats, but IMO it has an MSRP that probably has folks not even considering em in the preliminary stages of shopping.
I know this thread will likely be full of "fuck Dodge" and "fuck the Euro-commies" and all kinds of other nonsense, but I'm asking as an interested auto nut soul - from someone that follows the market and changes and performance and really wants everyone to do well at what they choose to excel in. Overall it's still about the best time to be alive for autos and everything else we're blessed with. I absolutely LOVED the Hemis we had and still have - IMO there is nothing in the market that comes close in price for performance and tech etc. But I guess CAFE standards, and maybe a new parent company that has little love for American tastes is content to now watch this brand die on the vine. I dunno, but I read that the new Charger is configured for potentially making em with ICE Hurricane engines too, so who knows - maybe someone will wake up and offer em with the HO Hurricane and maybe even AWD. I don't work in the industry and only know what I can find on the interwebs, but they could still turn this around. Especially if the better person wins the election and can maybe rein in the current CAFE madness and related reg restraints. |

ETA, these are made in Italy, and are pretty much a rebranded Alfa Tonale. Not saying it's all fancy and superior cause of that, but there's more to this little machine than many might realize.

The commercials focus on two things. A kid, and torque. Is that all it has going for it? I may have seen one on the road, but the 2011-2021 WK2 Jeeps are all over the place in my AO.

I hope they dump it soon if they really want to sell some to the market I would imagine they are trying to chase. In looks and layout, it really reminds me of the KL Cherokee we had, which IMO was an outstanding vehicle that checked a whole lotta boxes. |

I had a green one back in the early 70’s. Wish I had a picture.

They are racing to kill the company. I mean not that they SRT division was the only part of the company that was actually run by car people. But ultimately its government and their push to control the population that is killing Dodge and chrysler.

They need to use some real piston rings in the high performance versions of that engine.

We have 2 of the R/T versions that got fleet pricing for at work.
Visibility sucks. Even with seat to the floor most coworkers look at rear view instead of below it, significantly worse blindspots than a ford escape. Only place can see well out of them is directly in front of the driver Range is poor. Filled up ours get 28 miles of electric then 160 on gas. Both have been in for warranty work already in at less than 6,000 miles. Based on the sample of 2 have driven do not recommend. |

The market for econoboxes with slight performance upgrades is silly to me. If you want a cheap econobox, get a cheap econobox. If you want a sporty daily, get a sporty daily. Mixing the two just ends up with something that is mediocre for the price.

View Quote Nope, Stellantis is the one killing the company and are doing it all by themselves. I would avoid most newer and all new Stellantis products. It saddens me because I have been a die-hard Mopar guy since the early 1980's and have mostly owned Dodge branded cars and trucks. Ever since FCA and PSA Group merged to form Stellantis the quality has tanked. The next couple of years will be very interesting with Stellantis and not in a good way. |

Wife had an R/T as a loaner while her jeep was having some warranty work done.
Damn thing was quick as a cat. Visibility sucked. Can't say that it felt like anything more than a Dodge vehicle. I've seen one other on the road in the last 6 months, which is about the time I became aware of their existence. |
