This is a catch-all to cover what I have not covered in my other posts. No restrictions on models, body types, or budgets. Let’s throw bass guitars in this one as well. All guitars deserve love so let’s post em up…

I don't have pics atm, but I have an Ibanez SR 500 Studio bass, an Epiphone SG400 Pro custom guitar, and a Jackson JS32Q quilted maple guitar.

Alright, here is my stable of Robin Guitars.  I worked for a Robin dealership in highschool and college and we sold a LOT of these guitars.  Dave (owner and luthier) passed away a few years ago now but Steamboat Amps have bought Rio Grande pickups and Robin Guitars and they are getting them back up and running.  Excellent guitars and were always very reasonably priced.

Here is my Avalon; it is the only three-ply maple neck that Dave ever put on one of these (similar to the Super 400 neck on my Les Paul).  One other blank exists and the new owner already has it squirreled away for himself LOL.  Maple cap on Mahogany and it thinner than a LP so it is very light.  The arch cut is VERY deep and so someone who really leans on the edge of the guitar would probably not like this one.

Here is my wife's Ranger Bass.  This was the last bass that Dave ever built.  My college roommate bought it with an insurance check after we had a break in and his Fender J-Bass was stolen, along with the next guitar I'll show.

Lastly, here is my '93 Ranger.  This guitar was stolen when my house was robbed, and we recovered it off Craigslist ten years later.  Crazy story, but the guy was made whole by the place he bought it since they were on the hook for passing title to something they didn't own.  They should have known better when a boutique guitar comes in with no case and some asshole asking "how much?"

The top one is a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass.
I put Seymour Duncan Quarter pounder pickups in her and replaced the guts, control plate and knobs.
The middle one is a Schecter Stiletto extreme.
My wife saw it at a pawn shop and grabbed for me.
Bottom one is a Schecter Stealth. I saw one in a pawn shop and thought they wanted too much money for it. So I found one on guitar center used in "fair" condition. Turns out it was in fantastic shape. Someone had put a metallic sticker over the pick Guard, tried to put in a Seymour Duncan P bass pickup, and took the bridge apart without knowing how to reassemble it.
I peeled the sticker off, painted the pick guard and truss rod cover a color changing purple-green, and set it up properly with new strings. Thing plays like a dream and is much lighter than the other Schecter.

Currently at the shop. Just had a refret.  This is a '77-'78 I bought new back then.   I just replaced the bridge as the original is an abomination, and I plan to put this back into gig service in about a week.

Mostly play this NR Thunderbird these days.  Lately I've swapped heads to a Mesa WD800.

This is one of my favorite guitars for travel. Latitude, had never head of it. Made in China.
I looked at travel guitars and just didn't like them.

Headless, nice sounding split-able  humbuckers.

Bought it used from a guy on FBM, he was selling it because the low E buzzed on the frets and he could not get it to not buzz. I saw the neck had zero relief and the truss rod appeared to work. I got it cheap with a soft case.

Took it home, changed the strings
adjusted the truss rod to Fender Strat neck relief specs
Set up the action to Fender Strat specs
Set up the intonation

and voila, no string buzz.

Took the neck screws out, drilled bigger holes in the neck and put in stainless inserts and bolted the neck back on.

Now when I travel on an aircraft, I take the neck off and the package is 12 inches by 17 inches and fits in a small backpack.
I get to where I am going, put it back together, usually with new strings and I have a very playable guitar I use with headphones and a Boss Pocket GT.
Great for going on a cruise which I hate, but the wife loves.
