Read the book when it came out.
Never saw the movie.

Now, I don't need to.

The Stand was a better book anyway.

Laura San Giancomo could have been naked a lot in that movie.

Maybe HBO can redo it, not with her now though.

I have sent IMs to those asking for the link.  I'll add that this is by no means a serious "explanation video" and is simply a humorous edit of the ballroom bathroom scene that uses so non-coc compliant terms.

Fuck The Stand.

800 pages in and FSK may as well ahve made page 801 the deadline notice from his publisher.

Years later I see a new release in the book store window with the rest of the story.

Last FSK book I read.

I am pretty sure that The Stand was the only (?) SK novel with a directors cut where they put the stuff the original editors took out beack in.

If you are staying away from watching the movie because of the moon landing stuff, please reconsider. I saw the movie more than a few times , so I was confused what the hell this moon landing stuff was about. After watching an explanation on youtube all I can say is it's dumb. You have to bend over backwards over a roll of tin foil to connect the dots. It's basically the kid has a sweater with a rocket on it, and the room number is the same number of miles to the moon.

The Shining is probably the only Steven King movie worth a shit.

Torrance was told when he was hired that a previous caretaker had murdered his family in 1970. So after 1970 for sure.  I suspect the setting was contemporary to when the movie was made (1980?)

THIS is the best SK movie! Not really true to the book, but great nonetheless.

I've read most of his pre darktower stuff and agree that The Shining was bad in both forms.

Running Man is also SK done under a pseudonym.
