That looks really good. I like the Jack Links Sweet and Hot.

Interesting. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on some. Love Tapatio.

Will have to try this
I splurge and get old trapper beef jerky every couple of weeks |

Pemican was all I would purchase at the exchange on base. I haven't found it in the civilian world. The butcher I frequent has some extraordinary jerky. I think they get most of their meat via Thurman's.

It's good. |

Any prepackaged jerky is third tier. Good jerky is hand made by yourself or a butcher.

My buddy Chris makes some amazing beef Jerky. He lives in another State now so he's mailed me some a couple times.
I reciprocated by sending him some of my ghost pepper sauce, and haven't heard from him since. |

Those sheets of jerky you used to find at the gas station, the kind you can chew on a chunk of for twenty minutes before it softens up, is the best.

Why is beef jerky so wet now?
Every time I pick up a bag of jerky in the store, there’s a shit ton of moisture in the bag. I thought the whole point of jerky was that it was dry and hard but all the big companies seem to be moving towards softer jerky which is, apparently, more popular. I miss the old school Slim Jim beef jerky that came in the yellow cans. |

No sugar in mine, thanks. I just make my own when I want some good jerky.

Make my own.
I'm not paying $60+ a pound for someone else's salt laden U.S. Commercial, or worse, grade beef cut they can find. |

Best jerky is what you make yourself. Seriously, if you don't have a dehydrator, you needz one.
Bought a bag of Jack Links Peppered the other day because I was out of my own. Am now disappoint. |

I thought master race jerky was either biltong from South Africa or homemade.

Quoted: Used to be in a clear plastic box, with a yellow label in every convenience store in Texas. They sell it on ebay now. That shit is expensive though. View Quote That's probably where I got it too, then. How much a pound? I'll take a ride up to New Braunfels every couple of weeks and buy a pound of their stuff. ETA: It's only 24 bucks a pound there. |
