Imagine in the fifties if they invented a time machine but it would only allow them to travel into the future and view the news from that time.
What do you think they would go back and say/do if they traveled to 2020 and got all the news? Think anything would change now with that information?  |

An author named John Birmingham wrote a series of books. The Axis of Time which is basically Final Countdown sans blue balls.
A legion of 2030 era UN navy sailors disperse across central California. And they are almost all social justice warriors. After a few fistfight's and murders everyone in 1940s America decides to do things the SJW way. They even build all their buildings in 2030 fashion. Which doesn't make one goddamn lick of sense because in the 1940s they had different building materials. |

Read a fun paper from a physicist who said time travel if ever possible will only allow you to go backwards in time, never forwards. Too many things can cause a change and its impossible to go to a time that had not happened yet. So you could go back to watch yourself be born, but then could not go to see your own first steps. one trip back only.
