I've had a few that looked like that, they looked strange so I threw them away.

Just checked mine, it's the same color as the rest of the silver ones, so nothing odd about it.

My grandmother worked at a grocery store when I was a kid and would get us a fresh roll of state quarters as soon as they were released.

Maybe I should go check the safe deposit box.

fuck, I remember having a very distinctive colored Georgia quarter like that  (I remembered it was GA specifically because thats where I live now).  I figured it was stained somehow. Treated it just like a regular quarter.

Weigh it.  Needs to be between 5.9 and 6.3 grams.  If it's less, then it's not the one.

Great. Now every asshole that has one of those cheap gold plated ones sold by those late night TV hucksters will bring it into my shop and say "It's worth $7200!!!"

They always get pissed when I show them the ones in my case for sale for a buck apiece

I have a State Quarter (don't remember which State) that is only clad on one side.

Classified as a mint defect.

It's worth $12.00!!!

Still trying to decide which new car I want to buy.

Weigh the whole roll. 40 x 5.9 = 236 grams or 40 x 6.3 = 252 grams

Paper shouldn't weigh much

$7,200 is not a fortune.

I mean, its a nice chunk of change but its not a fortune.

It's a great return on a quarter though.
