When fired at, Nordbat 2 often shot back, frequently disregarding the UN rules of engagement. Colonel Henricsson made it clear that he would not respect rules and regulations that threatened to prevent him from achieving his mission objectives. When his own government tried to rein him in, he simply told his radio operator to pretend that the link was down until he had a fait accompli to present to Stockholm.

One of my friends served in Nordbat, they all liked the Colonel.

Ultimately, it was... meh. It couldn’t decide whether it wanted it be a drama or an invasion/disaster movie.
It took a long time to get going. And then, once it did, it would slow down again. It couldn’t sustain its momentum.
One thing I will say, the ending in the church got to me.

I’m sure that was to not ruffle feathers. Kinda like how the Red Dawn remake had the Norks invading us when really the Chinese would be the only ones that *might* be able to pull that off logistically. Oh well, I still like to pretend they are killing little commie chinamen.

I liked the Aussie one as well.

That movie was based on a series of books. They were supposed to make additional movies but never did. It was turned into a TV show as well.

Well, I took a chance and rented it.

Hard not to fall asleep during it, fast forwarded through 2/3'rds of it and gave up.

A few scenes were interesting, but the movie should have been an hour long.
