| I've taken a caretaker role for my mother in law. She has Tricare for life insurance based on her husband's service. She's 86yo and is on Medicare. Is Tricare good insurance? How does it compare to civilian Medicare supplements or Advantage plans? |

Tricare is good coverage. Same kind of hoops to jump through for authorizations as Medicare. Get ahold of her PCM, Primary Care Manager and let them know your new to this and need help. Tricare is secondary, Medicare will be primary. She must be enrolled in Medicare a or b and current on those payments or tricare will not cover. Just get ready for no as the first answer, but that's with all insurance coverage any more. |
