Honest? The first step is for us to fix our shit. Because without it, we're getting ever close to the lose-lose scenario (for us) they're aiming for.

Nearly 243,000 illegal border crossers reported in January

By Bethany Blankley | The Center Square contributor Feb 14, 2024
(The Center Square) – There were nearly 243,000 illegal border crossers reported in January nationwide, according to new data released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

They include 176,205 illegal border crossers along the southwest border. The majority, 124,220, were apprehended between ports of entry.

The remainder were apprehended at ports of entry (marine and air) nationwide, including 15,802 at the northern border, the most in a single month at the northern border in U.S. history.

Approximately 45,000 foreign nationals were processed into the country making appointments on the CBP One App arriving at ports of entry last month, CBP said.

From January 2023 through January 2024, 459,118 foreign nationals from all over the world “have successfully scheduled appointments to present at ports of entry using CBP One” CBP said.

Texas AG Paxton sues NGO aiding migrants, accuses it of encouraging illegal immigration
Paxton seeks to have group's registration revoked
Adam Shaw By Adam Shaw Fox News
Published February 20, 2024 6:25pm EST

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing a Catholic non-governmental organization operating in the state and wants to have its registration revoked, alleging that it is encouraging illegal immigration and operating a stash house for those entering illegally.

Paxton has sued Annunciation House — a Catholic nonprofit set up in the 1980s — and is seeking to revoke its registration to operate in Texas.

Annunciation House describes itself as a volunteer organization that "offers hospitality to migrants, immigrants, and refugees in El Paso, Texas."
...
...Paxton’s lawsuit accuses the group of "openly and flagrantly violating many provisions of law in a systemic fashion." Specifically, it accuses it of providing shelter to illegal immigrants who have evaded law enforcement, of encouraging illegal immigration, of engaging in human smuggling and of operating a "stash house."

"Annunciation House appears to be engaged in the operation of an illegal stash house by potentially allowing others to use its real estate to engage in human smuggling," the lawsuit says.

Paxton’s office had requested records from the organization to evaluate potential violations of federal law. However, the organization in turn sued the AG’s office, seeking a restraining order and accusing it of making an impossible demand due to its limited volunteer staff and of violating its "constitutional rights of association."

The lawsuit requests that its right to operate in Texas is terminated and also asks the court to appoint a receiver to liquidate its assets.
Wouldn't it just be sad if they manage to succeed on the basis of the highlighted bit... somthing the civil rights era took away from virtually everyone in the business world and some few in private life.

They over burden our hospitals, schools, etc, and they out breed us.
Once here they will never be rounded up and deported.

Same

And overloading our system/society IS THE GOAL.

Lots of money, especially our tax money, has been used to advertise US welfare and other benefits all over the world along with details of how to come here and what to do/say to get allowed in. Imagine someone taking out ad's in TV and newspapers telling folks what you have in your house, gun safe, etc and telling them the door will be open from Jan 2021 to Jan 2025...

https://thepostmillennial.com/7-3-million-illegal-immigrants-crossed-into-us-under-biden-border-patrol
More than 7.2 million illegal immigrants have entered the United States since President Biden took office in 2021, which surpasses the population of 36 states, according to data from US Customs and Border Protection.

There have already been nearly one million illegal immigrant encounters since the start of fiscal year 2024 which began in October. If illegal immigration continues at its current rate, the number of illegal entries will exceed last year's historic record of 2,475,669.

CBP data shows 7,298,486 illegal immigrants have entered through the US-Southern border under the Biden administration.

This number is greater than the population of 36 US states, per the New York Post. The states include Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

If the total number of illegal immigrants who entered the US under President Biden were to create a city, it would rank second in size behind New York.

Furthermore, the figure does not account for the estimated 1.8 million known "gotaways" who have eluded authorities, which added to the total would surpass the population of New York City.

And who knows what the true number is.

More Chinese nationals amongst the latest busload of migrants that was just released to the street in San Diego moments ago. We’ve seen dozens of Chinese released here today. More than 21,000 Chinese have been apprehended by Border Patrol in just San Diego sector since Oct. 1st:

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/saraharnold/2024/02/22/more-chinese-migrants-apprehended-at-the-southern-border-n2635581
Over the last three days, over 452 Chinese illegal migrants have been detained in California— exceeding the more than 450 apprehended in fiscal year 2021.

The 2023 fiscal year saw over 37,000 Chinese migrants encountered at the border, with a stunning 20,000 more nationals crossing the southern border since October.

Since Biden took office in 2021, the number of apprehensions of Chinese migrants attempting to enter the U.S. illegally skyrocketed from being in the single digits to thousands every month— resulting in a dramatic rise in Chinese apprehensions since the president's first month in office until now.

02/22/2024Ryan McMaken

Earlier this month, The New York Post reported that the mayor of New York is giving away pre-paid cash cards—each carrying "up to $10,000"— to foreign nationals in New York. Most of these foreign nationals—i.e., "illegal immigrants"—have arrived in New York with no invitation, no employment prospects, and no plan for housing. But most of them plan on staying. And why shouldn't they? Upon arrival, thousands of them immediately went on the public dole in some way or another, relying on taxpayer-funded shelters, housing programs, and a variety of sources for "free" food. Those immigrants who have not found taxpayer funded housing in hotels—there are presently at least 66,000 of them—simply live on the taxpayer-funded streets as vagrants.

The latest idea from the city's central planners is to pay out millions more via pre-paid debit cards—pre-paid, of course, by millions of people who actually work for a living. The city has already planned to spend at least $2.5 billion on the migrants in this way. An additional $53 million will go to grease the palms of bankers who will provide the cards.

This is just one story among many we've seen in recent years on how state, local, and federal policymakers have shoveled ever larger amounts of taxpayer funds to both legal and illegal immigrants. After all, there are at least 23 million foreign nationals residing in the United States—both legally and illegally—and both are subsidized by taxpayers to the tune of at least $150 billion per year. An additional $140 billion goes to immigrants who have been naturalized.

Which is exactly what is going to happen, and he will likely win.

Trump is a very damaged candidate. He had his chance to reverse much of the immigration damage, but declined to do so.

While most mainstream media coverage flagrantly omits that the man charged in the murder of a Georgia nursing student is an illegal immigrant who entered the United States through the famously porous southern border, other important nuggets are also being left out of most reports. The 26-year-old suspect, Jose Antonio Ibarra, comes from a country—Venezuela—run by a dictator with close ties to terrorists who refuses to accept deportees. This is especially disturbing because the U.S. has seen a shocking 7,300% spike in migrants from Venezuela under the Biden administration’s disastrous open border policies and now we are stuck with all of them.

Country Brief: Venezuela
January 17, 2024

Introduction

FAIR’s Research Division conducted an in-depth review of the migration trends of nationals from Venezuela, the policy decisions that drive the increased flows, and the national security implications of them. The paper summarizes the geopolitical conditions of Venezuela, and focuses on the numerous pull factors that lead Venezuelans to transit through numerous countries to live, work and remain in the United States. Given the dramatic increases in recent years, and considering the risks posed to national security and public safety, FAIR provides solutions to combat the crisis and curb the illegal immigration surges.
Highlights

Venezuelans are now the second most encountered nationality of illegal aliens at the border.
Executive Branch policies — especially parole, Temporary Protected Status and the refusal to use detention as a deterrent — have helped drive up numbers.
Over half a million Venezuelan illegal aliens have been encountered since January 2021.
The number of Venezuelan nationals encountered increased 77 percent between Fiscal Years 2022-2023.
The Biden Administration’s parole program allows Venezuelans and dual nationals of Venezuela to enter the U.S., even with an expired passport.
Venezuela’s government has supplied genuine Venezuelan travel documents to non-Venezuelans, including potential national security threats from countries like Iran. This is especially concerning given Venezuela’s ties to state sponsors of terrorism.

Nature of the Problem

Illegal immigration from Venezuela was relatively low, but this has been changing rapidly as enormous numbers of Venezuelans have entered the U.S. since 2021. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2020, just 4,520 Venezuelans were encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at America’s borders.[1] In FY 2021, this number grew to 50,499, an eleven-fold increase.[2] In FY 2022, this figure surged again to 189,520, and in FY 2023, CBP encountered 334,914 Venezuelan nationals.[3] This makes Venezuelans the second most commonly encountered nationality at the border, second only to Mexican nationals.[4]

This goes away, when you remove what motivates people to come here, AND you give them good reasons to LEAVE.

That can start to work before we even get the border buttoned down.

States administer the welfare.

They administer the medis.

The texas governor can take a giant step up by refusing to allow his state agencies to give benefits to federal trespassers.

Take the money saved by that and use it to ship MORE of those trespassers to those who are responsible for this.

ETA and have his state stop contracting with people who hire federal trespassers.

The TX legislature can pass laws making it illegal for cities in TX to contract wtih those who hire them too.

We've demoralized/defunded law enforcement, consequences for criminal behavior are lacking, and it's pretty clear that the criminals have the upper hand. Hard times coming - violence and crime worse than we've ever seen - so people better get their minds right.

An Act

amending section 13-407, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to justification.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 13-407, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

13-407. Justification; use of physical force in defense of premises; definition

A. A person or his agent in lawful possession or control of premises is justified in threatening to use deadly physical force or in threatening or using physical force against another when and to the extent that a reasonable person would believe it immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of a criminal trespass by the other person in or upon on the premises.

B. A person may use deadly physical force under subsection A only in the defense of himself or third persons as described in sections 13-405 and 13-406.

C. In For the purposes of this section, "premises" means any real property and or any structure, movable or immovable, permanent or temporary, adapted for both either human residence and or lodging whether occupied or not.

Follow the passage here: https://legiscan.com/AZ/bill/HB2843/2024

So... "to the extent that a reasonable person would believe it immediately necessary" a person "in lawful possession or control of premises" is "justified in threatening to use deadly physical force or in threatening or using physical force against another" to "prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of a criminal trespass by the other person in or on the premises"

Use of deadly force to to "prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of a criminal trespass by the other person in or on the premises" is not allowed by the bill.

Watch the media lie it's butt off about this.

Here's How Biden's Border Crisis Is Impacting This Small Midwestern City
Madeline Leesman  |  February 28, 2024 2:00 PM
AP Photo/Eric Gay

President Joe Biden’s open border policies have caused cities and towns across the country to become overrun with illegal aliens. At one point, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) said in an interview that illegal immigrants should be sent throughout the country because the Big Apple could not handle the influx, which Townhall covered.

One small midwestern city, nestled between two Republican counties, is experiencing the border crisis firsthand.

The city of Whitewater, Wisconsin has seen a steady flow of illegal immigrants since 2021 when Biden assumed office. Now, the town of 15,000 people now has 1,000 new “neighbors” who came to the U.S. from Nicaragua and Venezuela through the southern border.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, Whitewater’s population has grown by almost 10 percent in two years because of illegal immigration. In New York City, the population has grown by 2 percent.

Jeffrey Knight, the Greater Whitewater Committee president, told the outlet that the city’s resources are running out to take care of the illegal immigrants (via WFB):

Like Knight, all Whitewater residents who spoke to the Free Beacon prided themselves on their hospitality and did not express prejudice toward the town's growing foreign population. But those who live here say they feel the strain migration has placed on their town: schools rushing to hire English as a second language (ESL) teachers, emergency services overwhelmed with unintelligible calls reporting domestic violence, and health providers faced with a flurry of uninsured patients.

Responding to the influx of migrants has put the town in a $400,000 budget hole, a town official speaking on condition of anonymity told the Free Beacon.

   [...]

No one knows what brought the migrants to Whitewater. It is not a sanctuary city, and no red-state governor is shipping busloads of migrants to Whitewater's doorstep. That Wisconsin is one of a handful of states that will likely decide the next president is just happenstance.

Some residents think the migrants were attracted by the progressive city council's pro-immigrant rhetoric. Others think the sleepy midwestern town is just a good place for illegal migrants to hide.

"I haven't seen anyone who isn't welcoming, but you have to have blinders on to not see that there have been problems," Michael Smith, a Whitewater resident, told the outlet. "Everything is relatively overwhelmed right now."

The town’s police force is strained due to the illegal immigrants. In March, police responded to a “deceased infant…located in a cardboard box.” Another instance described a woman living inside a shed with her baby during the winter.

Not to mention, nearby counties have reportedly shared concerns that there is cartel activity in Whitewater.

"It is a simple fact that we are not currently providing the Whitewater community with the degree of service that our residents are accustomed to," Whitewater Police Chief Dan Meyer reportedly told local media in January. "That needs to change for the sake of both long-time residents, as well as individuals who have recently moved here from Central America."

Republican Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil added, “The challenges that Whitewater is facing are ones communities around the country are facing. We can't just address the symptoms, we have to solve it by securing our border."

He’s been here since 2022 and has a long criminal history. ICE requested to detain him in 2023 but local woke courts released him from custody.

How many more people need to die before Biden does something about our nonexistent border?!

3 Mexicans were arrested in Illinois for recruiting other illegals to commit retail theft in order to receive fake IDs.

481 fake IDs were recovered including social security cards, green cards, and driver’s licenses. 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine was also found.

Biden’s open border is leading to crimes all over the country and putting Americans’ lives in danger. We have no idea who’s in our country.

Meet Lucas Fontenelle. An illegal who was convicted of assault and battery with a firearm last month. ICE had a detainer on him but he was able to remain in Massachusetts and was released from jail because of their sanctuary policies.

He’s now accused of another armed robbery in Milford, MA, less than a month after being released.

Biden’s and the Democrats’ open border policies are allowing illegal criminals to roam our country terrorizing Americans.

The illegal aliens at San Vicente migrant camp in Panama just burned it down.

I don't think it'll slow things down, but it's going to increase the suck for those who think they have a place to go to after five days in the Darien Gap.

1st:

The Biden Administration Is Secretly Flying Hundreds of Thousands of 'Inadmissible Aliens' Into US
Leah Barkoukis  |  March 05, 2024 8:00 AM

According to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the Center for Immigration Studies, U.S. Customs and Border Protection approved “secretive flights” for 320,000 inadmissible aliens last year. The individuals were pre-approved on the CBP One app and flew into 43 U.S. airports, though the government refuses to identify which ones.

CIS’s Todd Bensman, who is also a Townhall columnist, explains:

The agency’s lawyers have cited a general “law enforcement exception” without elaborating – until recently – on how releasing airport locations would harm public safety beyond citing “the sensitivity of the information.”

Now, though, CIS’s litigation has yielded a novel and newsworthy answer from the government: The public can’t know the receiving airports because those hundreds of thousands of CBP-authorized arrivals have created such “operational vulnerabilities” at airports that “bad actors” could undermine law enforcement efforts to “secure the United States border” if they knew the volume of CBP One traffic processed at each port of entry.

In short, the Biden administration’s legally dubious program to fly inadmissible aliens over the border and directly to U.S. airports has allegedly created law enforcement vulnerabilities too grave to release publicly, lest “bad actors” take advantage of them to inflict harm on public safety. (Center for Immigration Studies)

Through the CBP One app, the individuals apply for travel authorization, and once here, the parole program gives them two-year periods of legal status allowing them to work. This more direct entry, facilitated by the Biden administration, lowers the total number of illegal border crossings at ports of entry.

It is going to be a Herculean task to deport these people and it's going to definitely lead to some unfortunate incidents of abuse and civil rights violations now.

The cost alone to deport these folks and it's going to take a sustained effort on the P.R. front to maintain public support for mass deportations, which aren't going to be very pretty all the time.

First, remove the incentives to be here.

Make the trespassers self select out and leave.

Make them unhireable and unable to engage with our financial systems.

That will be a good start.

The ones that stay would hopefully be a much smaller group; easier to physically round up and deport.

What's amazing is that this is starting to bubble up through the MSM, which would do anything they can to avoid helping the bad orange man.

On one hand, picking vegetables, cutting up chickens and herding cows into slaughter houses aren't jobs that Americans are willing to do, and that work needs to get done. The problem is those industries have become addicted to a form of repressible labor, akin to indentured servitude or slavery. That's fucked up. There needs to be a way for those industries to get the people they need to produce and deliver their products at prices are willing to pay. Nobody in GD is okay with the price of chicken doubling again because of "American workers wages" blah blah blah, and suddenly the trope of corporate profits comes up again.

One of the things we need to make illegal aliens deportable is a way to have legal aliens replace them. Until that's in place, there is no real solution, because they're doing work there aren't enough Americans to do.

ETA: We have plenty (not really, but there are _some_) of unemployed Americans ... in places where there are no jobs. But you can't force people from inner city Detroit to move to Nebraska to cut up cows. All you can do is offer money in the form of wages, and the employers need to spend some time and money to make sure those Americans know that there is money in the form of jobs there.

There is no system in place for cultural integration.  It almost defies belief. Anyone can come and do whatever they want. It's a race to the bottom at this point.

We're absolutely willing to do it.

IMO, the problem is that the government makes cost of living too high, and makes the cost of employment so high, and this combines with price inflation and stagnant real wage growth to make everyone extremely price sensitive just to live daily life. So the meat processors and pickers push very hard to keep their costs down as much as they can, and they turn to off the books cheaper to hire federal trespassers to keep employment costs down.

The employment costs being down and prices being up means that anyone who isn't off the books will avoid working those kind of jobs. ETA: They don't pay enough for people who are "in the system."

In the slightly longer term, that system can't stand, because it requires a constant inflow of a federal trespasser underclass, it requires all of us in the productive class to keep being productive cattle for the overclass. Price and currency inflation are going to keep balooning because of the spending and that will pop.  The massive amount of illegals here will eventually force out the cultures in the U.S. that produce, and suddenly there's no foundation layer for the pyramid - nobody for the overclass to extract resources from, nobody to pay the elite's underclass of off the books all but slave workers.

I think we need to rip the chest seal off now, and force the consequences and use that pain and misery to crush the government nonsense that has made it cheaper to have your stuff made on the other side of the globe in a hideously corrupt country and shipped around the globe back to us.  The fact that it's cheaper to do that than it is to produce here is a big flashing neon sign.

Our elites get to ignore that because they are using easily oppressed all but slave wages to float their system.

I don't believe government is solely responsible for the cost structure, especially by single intent anyways. I have never met anyone who wanted to work at a slaughter house after their first day.

So how does the imbalance get addressed? Surely not more government trying to help?

Change some names, and we have the proletariat being taken advantage of by the bourgeoisie again, Tavaritch. How can we do this and not turn into a totalitarian (communist) state?

Offshoring was a business school trend in the late 90's, as part of the peace dividend and the idea that the closer you intertwine global economies the harder it will be to make war, repress people, or generally do bad things. Like in all things, the bad apples are more adaptable than the good ones, and they adapted themselves to take advantage of these changes faster than you could keep a good guy honest. Everyone loves their absolutes, but the truth is most likely that there needs to be a balance struck; we're not alone on the planet, we do need to co-exist, and we have a stake in what's happening outside our own borders, like the people who are downwind from us and receive our pollutants, figuratively and literally.

And internationally you will never really get a level playing field. You can't even get it between US states - just look at when places fall all over themselves offering tax breaks and weird stuff to sports teams or S&P top-100 corporations' headquarters search. So there will be differences in costs of energy, labor, and compliance. You can't force China or India to adopt our labor safety or environmental protection standards, and I am not sure you'd want to live and raise your kids where those standards aren't in place, so how can we account for the differences here? Big fence and total isolation? How about the air and oceanic pollution crossing our border?

It's easy to say fuck the FDA, EPA, and DOL/OSHA or their state level equivalents (fuck duplication of government tasks for sure though). The point is there are no easy answers. Politics hasn't been interested in actually solving these problems for a very long time, and good ideas also best-before dates.

Anyways, we digress into solving something nobody is interested in solving.

Of course the government is not 100% of the problem, but IMO it's the biggest part.

So no, you don't have more government to fix it.

You stop the government from doing what isn't it's job and force the jokers to do what is their job.

And yet we did those slaughterhouse jobs. There is nothing about being american that means that people won't. For the wages offered RN in comparison to the cost of daily living ... no.

No, no, this doesn't have to head off to clown world. What I posted is not that kind of lunacy. We made it cheaper to manufacture stuff on the other side of the globe than to do it here. That's artifical nonsense mostly driven by government overreach helping to distort the costs and conditions in favor of their donors, who are also the ones that write the laws now. <--- and that's the kind of stuff the government should be stopped from doing.

I didn't post that absolutely all our stuff should all be made here and that we should ignore the world, or that we should have equality of outcomes forced. I don't want that. Wherever that idea came from before you typed that out, it didn't come from what I posted.

As far as I can tell, what I outlined in broad rough strokes is how our system is working/being worked, and it's broken on the face of it, and we can see why and how. I don't see a lick of sense in us tossing our hands up at it.

Thank you, agreed on all points.

It's GD, so people here like to argue in absolutes, or argue that their stated absolutes (as in "close the border") isn't an absolute.

The USA also plays this game with its farm subsidies, without which farmers claim they are unable to compete, and this is tied into an about as solid a voting bloc as can be made. I mean, there is no end to the distortions any government causes in its economy, but in terms of the behemoth of a US budget, this is a biggie.

So how do you get an electorate to vote for what is good for them long-term vs "what's easy right now"? I believe it was Madison who said that "once the people figure out they can vote themselves money, this experiment is over." And what then?

Imagine someone taking out ad's in TV and newspapers telling folks what you have in your house, gun safe, etc and telling them the door will be open from Jan 2021 to Jan 2025...

EXACTLY!   I'm so sick of people and "media" saying FJB is failing to protect the border failing at his responsibility.  The motherfucker told us years ago what his plans were, as have others, you think he's failing?  HE's SUCCEEDING!   Wildly.  Everything he and Daddy Warbucks from DHS do is part of a plan.  Create more voters, disrupt every part of American tradition and daily lives, prepare the battle space for more "fundamental transformation of America" (sound familiar?  Guess who......?) and get the ball rolling towards the end game.

To be fair Obama deported more people in one year than Trump did in his entire term.

Of course, Trump did cause them to leave voluntarily and at their own expense. Well the legal immigrants at least.

The cost alone to deport these folks and it's going to take a sustained effort on the P.R. front to maintain public support for mass deportations, which aren't going to be very pretty all the time.

I agree, its going to be a shitshow...  can you imagine how many liberals are going to glue themselves to the street in front of the bus station or ICE building, etc? The fucking crazy court cases, etc. But we have to do it.  Start getting them out the door, put the fear of God in the rest to hit the road and return...and then crack down hard and visibly.  Call up the NG, do whatever it takes.
