couple more pipe fitting creations.

i need one more 1" plug for the top of the war hammer.

haven't found a suitable solution for adding spikes, however.

I used a 1 inch cap for the pummel and the plug for the top.
Still need to grind it to a point.

Remember....
1 inch threaded nipple....ground to point would be your fast and dirty spike.

Got some shrink wrap coming to cover the handle but pretty happy how this turned out. Just the right amount of heft. Ought to be a devastating impact weapon.

I need some hockey tape first :-)

ETA my son used them to beat the crap out of stuff in the back yard.  They’re dirty, but undamaged.

Pool ball that can be unscrewed from a walking stick and attached by 6” of paracord… that would be pure win.

I work at an antique co-op and the place is full of cheap impact weapons.  LOOOOTS of axes and hammers and stuff for under ten bucks.

Found these within ten feet of the register:
Attachment Attached File

There were three. One was the same size as in the pic, the other was probably fifty percent bigger.  $1.50 each.  I bought em all because of this damn thread!  Now I gotta find or make handles.

This long ass wrench was $10 so I left it there, but it would split someones melon pretty easy with no modification, I think.  I'm supposed to be off tomorrow, but I'll probably go look around for more stuff, dammit.

Put these together last week. I still need to wrap the handle on the mace.
FYI, a wine cork and some epoxy work great to plug the end of the pipe so you can fill the head to add weight. I used cheap steel BBs.

Short handled club in progress. Just need to pickup a 1-1/4 to 3/4 reducer.

Lol

A couple years ago, when I still had a Facebook account, I followed a local law enforcement agency, they had posted a story about someone being mugged.

I posted that I had a dojo where I taught self defense using a guardrail nut on a length of paracord

A few people understood it was a joke and played along, the cops, they got pissed

I really like the creativity in many of these creations.  However, there are some that would be too heavy to wield for very long and that could be problematic.  A lighter version would be effective enough without making someone too tired to wield it for long...and a lighter one would be faster too.

Never seen anyone killed with a hoe but I'm sure it's happened.  I've helped work a death scene where the murder weapon was a shovel (buddy was one of the deputy coroners and I'm pretty good at finding bone fragments and parts).  She'd been dead a while so we were just trying to find all of the pieces that the critters had scattered after her boyfriend caved her skull with a couple of whacks.  Worked a couple of hammer deaths as well including one that was similar; boyfriend dragged the body into the woods after using a claw hammer on her head and the animals had been snacking on it.

How about 3' of threaded 1" black steel water pipe with a nut on the end.

There once was a tool, that it's mere mention of it's name was a banable offense on AR15.  Apparently a D'cell mag can be modified to use C cell batteries with a lead pipe as a battery sleeve.  It still functions as a flashlight, but is much heavier.  It may or may not be considered an illegal club in some cities and states.

@JLPettimoreIII

Can you drill a hole through the plug and thread it for a common thread pitch 3/4" bolt? run 3" of 3/4" bolt through the plug and jam nut it off on the exterior and grind to a point. Could go all out and oil quench the bolts after you sharpen them.

Until they smash your radiator or you have enough bones through your tires.

Then you'll wish you had a fiskars machete!

I really don’t know why spears and lances never caught on in zombie flicks

Because zombies are masters at getting inside your reach with a spear or lance.  You need a fence to keep them away while you stab them in the head.
