That feeling when you order CTD's bag of loose "warehouse floor pickup" antitank munitions because sanctions ended your chinese connect, or that magnetic ied finally killed your local dealer, and you get an RPG-2 round for your RPG-7

@daemon734

Is this even possible? It looks like he attached an -7 expelling charge the way its sitting on the tube. Which considering the RPG-2 doesn't have a booster motor, plus the age of the warhead/chemical composition= another covid death

US made 556's are compatible with Swiss lowers though, so you can have a US made gun with a Swiss magwell/release. Sig USA released the 551A1, which almost looks like the SAN Swiss guns but has the wrong handguards/sights.

In any case the gun in the photo is most likely not a 556, as I noted the sights/receiver finish (if original) are not characteristic of the 556.

I'll be at IDEX 2021 in Feb.  This whole thread has piqued my interest.  I'll grab pics of cool stuff, but most of the buyers there want western boomsticks and American smallarms mfgs are very well represented.  Sidenote, at IDEX, CHICOMish outfits selling drones and NVGs are as common as beef jerky/ninja-star/stun-gun peddlers at a Great Western show.  Time to watch my favorite documentary, Deal of the Century:

“It's only my second day in San Miguel, and I'll tell ya', I'm ready to hitchhike to Jonestown for a few laughs and a cool drink. This place is hotter than Dolly Parton's minipad. My job takes me all over the world. Lebanon, Nicaragua... Newark. You name it, I'm in there. Always where the action is.”

Polish-made kbk AKMS, manufactured in 1980 and in excellent condition, on sale in #SaudiArabia recently.

Nothing too special, except it's 100% numbers matching and mildly refurbished. One of the nicest AKMS variants available.

Another extremely clean Wz.88 Tantal available in #Iraq, this time for $2000.

Seller won't move much on price, unsurprising as these are valued and this is very clean.

@InternationalM

Most likely a combination of it not being flashy enough, being just common enough it's not a one off, and considered outdated.

For example, the commander for the SAA in Syria rocked a B&T MP9, which probably broke social media in the region at the time due to it being a no shit rarity. He was top dog, and it was personified through his weapon choice. Hard to flex on the gram with a MAT 49 you know?

Some common guns recently sold so you can get an idea for market price.

#Iraq: If you want the full package, here is what seems to be a PK/Type 80 machine gun with Bulgarian MG-1M barrel, along with 1000 rounds of (likely) Chinese 7.62x54r ball.

Machine gun is about $2900 & ammo is $390, so $0.39 a round. Not too bad, MG is a bit overpriced.

#Iraq: An RPG-7 pattern launcher (Looks like an Iraqi-made al Nasirah) with PGO-7V optic and PG-7V pattern projectile for sale as a package recently.

This costs $340. Not a bad deal for it all. Single rounds go for ~$50 per in kurdistan, and a little less in Baghdad.

#Aleppo: RPDs can be found for rather cheap in opposition held areas, as they don't have a particularly useful role when the PK/M exists. This one for sale in #DaratIzza costs just $60.

(Looks Chinese to me, not totally sure)

An extremely clean FN M16A4 on sale in #Baghdad #Iraq recently for $2200.

Looks fresh out of the packaging to me.

A M249 PIP for sale somewhere in #Idlib, #Syria 2 months ago.

This machine gun is much harder to obtain than PKM derivatives due to its scarcity.
On this particular MG you can even notice the US Department of Defence Inventory Label.
The asking price was $4200

#Aleppo: RPDs can be found for rather cheap in opposition held areas, as they don't have a particularly useful role when the PK/M exists. This one for sale in #DaratIzza costs just $60.

(Looks Chinese to me, not totally sure)

An extremely clean FN M16A4 on sale in #Baghdad #Iraq recently for $2200.

Looks fresh out of the packaging to me.
