Is that an aircraft M2? Not familiar with how common the right side feeding is for them.

The M2 series has reversible feed.  Remember in the wings of a P47 (8ea) /P51 (6ea) fighter, feed is reversed per wing. Those are two different guns.  Notice the charging handle on one side and feed.

And to the other extreme in Iraq where they like "Bling".  Usually MP5s and AK47s however.

How...in THE fuck...did they get that?  I assumed that would stay with US forces and not get distributed to local military units?  Did we seriously give the fucking Iraqi's Javs?

Group buy

Now would the ATF consider that a machine gun since it fires 2 bullets with one trigger pull?

They've said volley fire is ok. There's a weird .22 pistol that fires two at the same time.

Still an awesome thread.  Thanks guys.

Mildly curious about the recoiless rifles above, what the hell is the ammo from?

I didn't see a rim on the base like a CG 84mm or Russian B10.

Those Polish SMGs are awesome.

Funny story, as a young PFC on his first trip to NTC, were were in an Assembly area at night and my TC told me to go to the track next door to burrow a socket... Me being stupid, I headed out.. no BDU top, no Jacket, no flash light... figuring on a quick trip.

Got to the wing tank, got the socket, started the trip back... kept walking for what seemed like too long a time... came to the conclusion I'm headed the wrong way....

Starting to feel the night time cold .... Imagination kicked in....mental images of snakes and scorpions everywhere... me freezing to death in the desert and they find me in the morning....

Changed direction slightly... kept walking... stopped briefly..... heard a slight noise.... Kept going in that direction.... Noise got louder. It was the cooling motor on the Tank Thermal Sights running, and I could hear it...

Made it back, everyone on the crew was like "Dude...What the fuck... Where you been?"

Light and Nosie discipline is a real thing.... I learned several valuable lessons that night.

Hello Guys (Made an account for this)

I notice many of the pictures here are "nabbed" from my Twitter feed (Here: CalibreObscura), which is absolutely fine as information wants to be free.

Small Arms in the Middle East is my focus, and there is a tremendous variety, complexity and local peculiarities involved. I go into substantially more detail on my website. This one is one of my favourites on the Baloch Insurgents:

If there is any detail you are interested in- prices, names, sourcing, local availability, trends etc do feel free to ask.

Damn.  These are pretty nice rifles for that area of the world, I'd guess. Are the shooters generally trained well enough to use them to their potential or are they just the first/strongest guys to get to them?

Cool, thanks.  I dunno how I missed the rim on the "cases".  I agree, SPG-9 based.  The mystery projectile sort of reminds me of a RPO-A, but its obviously not that.
