Picked this one up on sale recently and have been playing it with friends.  Fun game.  The death penalty is brutal, though.  I had several of my skills up near 50, but after the most recent boss fight, they're back down in the 20s.

Valheim is an awesome game.  Several of us on the arf discord played the ever loving hell out of it lol.

Just limited after you do everything, nothing else to do but build stupid stuff lol.

I have 378 hours into it.

We've gotten to the mountains and had a few short, accidental encounters in the plains.

I really enjoy the game.

Boating around and exploring is great

Dying a bunch while building tall structures is amusing

Finally updated everything for the Ashland's.  Logged in and feel like I forgot how to play...

Ashlands is no joke. It's a cool biome though.

My group restarted a new world when ashlands dropped, but it didn't take us long to get through it all again.

Been playing it since it was in Beta.

I have a group of friends from WWII Online who play on their own a server.  Building stuff was my favorite thing to do.  No clue why.  I would build roads, bridges, waypoints and all that stuff.  Did the same thing in 7 Days to Die.

Love the game.

Wish it had more unique things to discover, like the merchants, because exploring the world is easily the best part of the game for me.

Then you get jumped by a couple of Draugir 2 real life hours away from your base in your best ship.  Spend another few hours in a raft trying to get back to your corpse and your ship building small spawn points as you go.  Only to die several more times.

I remember when it first came out and my friend and I made a journey out to sea on a raft and met mr. sea monster who took everything from us.

My friend didn't play for awhile after that.

It's the best death penalty in all of gaming imho.  It rewards good planning and punishes risk taking proportionally.
