TL;DR: It cleaned a *little*. Which kind of jives with an interview I saw with one of the dudes who helped develop it, he said that they backed off on the cleaning effect during iterative design, to keep from breaking too much free at once and overwhelming the oil filter. It's not an engine flush/cleanout, it's not meant to be a "one and done", it's the sort of thing you'd use continually and expect to see very slow progress. It would be very interesting to see a followup on this over the next 50,000 miles. |

If it cleaned perfectly in 4-6 changes, i'd be getting the heebie jeebies about stuff knocked loose in small oil passages. I suspect he may be right about the hotter the engine, the better the cleaning? That needs to be tested. I don't read oil testing sheets but the engine seemed to like it. |

I've had good experiences with it in four vehicles. I have friends who use it and also like it. It's not an extended drain oil, so you have to be mindful of that. I'm curious to find out how it compares to Mobil 1 Advanced Clean. It's not been around long enough for there to be a lot of real-world experience with it just yet. I have some to try over the next few OCIs. |

Based on what this guy showed in the video, I don't think 1k or even a few k would make a difference. His run of 20,000 miles only showed a *little* bit of improvement. |
