I never cared for the orange-look. The paisley-pink floral look was more my thing.

WAAAY too much yellow, orange, and pink.  And lapels should not be large enough to make refugee tents out of.

The 70s were the 60's hangover.  Things didn't get really GOOD again until the 80s.

Do a Google image search for Peter Max. You'll see how he influenced the late 60's/70's

My favorite episode: Peter was strangely infatuated with outlaw Jesse James and ran around the house with six shooters blasting family members after he held them up. Mom & Dad became concerned and somehow located the relative of an actual victim of the James gang (did they fly him in from Missouri? wtf). Relative visited the Brady house and informed Peter face to face that his hero was a dirty, no good, murdering bastard. Sure took the fuckin' wind out of Peter's sails ... pissed right in his Cheerios.

If memory serves me, Peter then moved on to a new hero, William Quantrill. Pretty sure.

LOL

One of the reasons the Brady Bunch was cancelled was because the kids wanted to be like the Partridge family and create a musical group to tour. They saw all of the fan craziness around Susan Dey, and David Cassidy and wanted that.

I am so very glad I didn't live in a time where that kind of dress was considered normal.

Of course one day they'll be saying that about the stuff we wear today.

I can’t embed this but if you follow the link this is a home movie my dad took of our Bicentenial street party July 4, 1976.  I was 5 at the time.

It's just 5 minutes long and really shows off middle-class America in the '70s.  Those were great times.
