Ok, so I timed the amount of time it was firing in the video. 18 seconds. I figure 3,000 rounds per minute out of a minigun... 50 rounds per second.
So in 18 seconds of shooting, one of them fired 900 rounds. So 4 guns... 3,600 rounds fired in 18 seconds. I'm figuring its cheap ammo.. so 70 cents per round. So the ammo cost in that 18 seconds was $2,520 or a cool $140 per second. Worth it

Hopefully they have those suckers bolted down well. I was at Knob Creek in 95 when that little girl got crushed by the 3 minigun mount.

Didn't Mike Dillon build one of these way back when?
I seem to remember that they did a group of videos of them trying to shoot down RC planes. But it would be one hell of a rush pulling the switch on them... |

A friend works for Dillon and gave me and a buddy an unofficial tour of their facility a few years ago. Have a picture of me behind a pop up minigun in the roof of a Suburban. There was a warehouse full of belted 7.62x51. It reminded me of the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. |
