I have been eyeing the Titleist S5 but I'm not dead set on it. I figured with the season starting to wind down, now might be a good time to start looking for a decent deal on a better bag for walking. I don't need a ton of pocket space. I need durable, light weight, comfortable double shoulder strap carry, decent enough club management to not fight tangle every time I pull or return a club, and a design that keeps the clubs/shafts in good shape. Not a huge fan of giant branding on bags but I'll live with it for a deal. If the color combo on the bag is "everyone look at me" nuts I'd pass it over. Please share your recommendations. |

I like the Titleist bags. I have the hybrid 14 because I use a push cart when I walk and prefer the individual club dividers. The S5 looks like a good choice to carry. Attached File |

Ping hoofer lite bags get a lot of praise for carry bags. I would also agree the Titleist and Sun mountain bags should also be considered. You can get down to about 3 1/2 lbs if you are ok with a 4-5 divider bag. |

The answer is always Ping Hoofer for carry bags, unless someone is going to give you another one (Titleist?) for free. Ping Hoofer bags have the most durable stands on them. I have had I think six of them over the past 30 years. They last. I have had one Titleist bag and the stand mechanism did not last nearly as long. My son's high school program has Titleist bags and the kids hate them. They fall apart. Yes you will pay more money for one, but you are getting a quality product. This is like comparing a Browning shotgun to a Mossberg. |
